Fairies or Angels for the CCC!

Hello Everyone from a very icy cold and wet Inverness. Hope you are having better weather where you are.

Here we are again showing our makes for the Christmas Card Club Challenge, and this one is a rather sad one as the theme was chosen by Shaz who sadly passed away at the beginning of the year. She has been very much missed by our little group. Shaz was wonderfully creative and always ready to answer crafty questions and give help. So we will be very much remembering Shaz with this theme of Fairies or Angels.

I've only managed one card this time, Fairies and angels I'm rather short of, anyhoo, this lovely image as a LOTV  one and I've water coloured it with Altenew metallic paints. The sentiment is from Little Claire, and the paper in the background is a Crafter Companion one, them I just added a few gems and a bow.  So this one is for you Shaz.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post, as ever I appreciate the,

I'm having trouble loading up posts from my reading list, I can get some but not all of them. So annoying, I noticed this yesterday and thought it was my laptop, but I'm seeing that some of you are experiencing the same problem. I've sent feedback to Blogger, but I don't expect an answer any time soon if at all. So, please don't think I have stopped commenting on your blogs, it's just that I can't at them moment. Blogger has been tinkered with so much over the last few years, it's so frustration, and it's not for the better.

Perhaps blogging is getting fazed out for other platforms, I don't do FB as I like to put wee stories of our lives ,and I think FB is too open and all and sod can see what you post. I only used it for the coloured pages I do on the artists page. Anyway, we'll see what happens.

That's me for now, hope you are having a good weekend, see you soon,

It’s a beautiful card Kate and I’m sure that Shaz would have loved it. I’ve really missed seeing her posts too and I think the choice of ‘Angels’ is very appropriate. I’m having the same problem with blogger posts. It only shows the first page, then when I click on ‘show more’ nothing happens. I think it’s likely to just be a glitch, so fingers crossed that they get it sorted soon. Take care, stay warm and enjoy the rest of your weekend x

Lovely card, and great watercoloring. I haven't noticed any problems. I always worry about Blogger being fazed out. I sure hope not. I enjoy it too much.

Such a beautiful and graceful (if that's the word) card Kate, I love the angel and your beautiful colouring and papers.
As for Blogger, I'm not get notifications for comments, so have to check every day on Blogger. At least I know what to do to get them.
I'm with you as far as FB, I don't do much on there.
Keep warm, with the expected chill.

Love the sentiment too. Stay safe, snug and warm Kate.

A beautiful card Lorraine, such a pretty image and lovely colours.
Actually, Facebook is probably safer that your blog, anyone can see your blog but only people that you friend can see what you post of Facebook as long as you have your privacy settings correct, having said that I don't like Facebook much, I find it very impersonal.

Very appropriate and pretty card for Shaz. I’m not having any trouble with blogger thank goodness but I keep my most visited blogs in my sidebar to visit. My problem has been lack of time lately. I love your stories on your blog.

I love your card, beautiful, it would be nice to think of her as showing the angels how to craft.

I am sorry if I missed any of your posts, the last three weeks, I have had workmen putting in a new kitchen, I must say it looks wonderful, but we had ten days of no water or electric in the kitchen area, The dinning room table was my kitchen with just the microwave. We managed, but I felt sorry for my husband trying to cope with me and doing things he’s not used to. We have a shower which meant we only had the sink in the bathroom to get water, my original idea we could fill up some plastic bottles with water for the kettle from outside, No the water got cut off, so he had to use the sink and fill each bottle with a small jug, and for washing up fill a bowl of water and carry it downstairs so we could wash up the cups etc.,l
I am on FB. and I must admit I don’t put a lot on there, I don’t want the world to know everything, I do put my cards or some of them on there, and bits of tatting, Holidays no I don’t want everyone to know I am away. My moan with FB is they keep on giving me a list of people I might know or mutual friends of friends, I don’t know them I don’t want to know them, I keep my page to people I know and trust for personal reasons, I have told them but it’s like water off a ducks back. We also walked away from a part of the family after well I won’t say more I don’t want them to know what we do or not do.
Gosh I wrote a book, I hope you are keeping well. Hugs

I am having problems with my reading list too Kate. Lately your post are not showing up at all and I have to go searching. Very strange. Anyway your card is lovely with the LOTV angel and a lovely memorial to Shaz. I am late with mine so we won't be posting until tomorrow. I couldn't believe the two weeks had passed. You have picked a beautiful image to use for Shaz's theme. Your card is a real beauty. Shaz will be smiling. I can see my reading list no problem but if I click to read more of the post I get redirected to a page telling me the link is trying to open and gives the https coding. Some do not have the s added so I don't click on the link as http is not secure. Hope that makes sense. I don't use face book either. I have an account but only because I need it for linking into classes that I watch with a lot of the demonstrators that I used to go to physical classes with. (Those were the days! )hope your keeping well. Next day out for me will be to get the flu jab if the surgery or chemist ever gets any more in stock. Hugs Mrs A.

Hi Kate, your card is beautiful and a fitting reminder of the lovely Shaz. I thought I had some LOTV angel images too but couldn't find them. I think Blogger is being phased out too - hope I'm wrong but it's based in all the changes been made recently. I'm on Facebook, a private account just for family and friends but I'm not sure just how private it is. I rarely post anything personal, it's mostly for scrapbook Layouts, occasionally gardening, etc. But without it, I wouldn't be able to communicate so easily with my daughter. Her deafness makes telephone calls out of the question. Have a lovely weekend. Elizabeth x
