Steampunk Shark!

 Hello to You All,, I hope you are well and your week has got off to a good start..

Well, we've all opened up a bit more, and folks are flying off to warmer climates, I wonder how  that will do! Alistair and I are just doing what we have done for the last year and a bit and keeping safe.  I had to go to the shops yesterday, and I was so excited that we could now HUG, so I went looking for folk to hug and couldn't find anyone lol. Like many of use I've not been able to hug Damian and Moreen and hopefully, maybe this weekend I'll see them . I don't go over to their house during the week as they work for home and I wouldn't want to disturb them, si I'll look forward to the weekend.

Anyhoo, I've got another finished page for you and it's another from Johanna Basford's new book Worlds of Wonder;

 I thought this was a fabulous image to colour as I like steampunk. The shark is coloured with Prismacolours and a Faber Castell soft pastel background. I've added some sealife images to keep him company. I was really pleased with how it turned out, especially as I was trying to recreate a metallic look for the shark, hope you like it.

Thank you all for the lovely comments you leave, it's so much appreciated.

I'm hoping it's no going to rain, I've just put washing out, it's still quite cold here, especially in the shade, doesn't feel like May at all.

Right i oh, that's me for today, have a good one and hope to see you soon, keep yourselves safe. I always feel like the police sergeant  in Hill Street Blues.....remember that programme, I loved it, anyway, the officer always told his officers to "keep safe out there."  on the mean streets of New York. I wish the TV moguls would bring back that series.

But for now,

What an incredible page Kate, the fish really does look metallic. I'm with you, we are doing nothing different to what we have done for the year either, funny how you get used to things isn't it?

I'm looking forward to a hug with one of our Son's and DIL this weekend who we have not seen in a very long while, much the same as so many folks. Still the rest of the clan to go but I'll take one at a time.

The neutral colours with hints of blue work well with Steampunk, a style that always terrifies me.

Lovely page, and colouring
We are not venturing abroad this year, we dont feel its safe yet, apart from wearing a mask for hours on end on a plane, and even on a beach, we are staying in this country. Its nice that things are opening up, just hope we dont get yet another lockdown.

I love the beautiful birds you coloured and this steampunk shark is brilliantly done Kate as it really does look metallic with wonderful highlights to make it look shiny and reflective and such super added fish and that sweet seahorse as well as some pretty starfish and coral. Hill Street Blues was a great and it would be lovely to have it back. x

The fish looks amazing, what a fine job you did coloring it up. Fun card with all the little extra sea life elements. I'm currently into the sea look and loving it.
