When Santa!

 Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and looking forward to the Easter weekend. I think it's to be pretty good weather for most folks and we all have a bit more freedom for travelling, not much but every mile counts.

Thank you so much for your continued visits and the lovely comments that you leave.

I have a card today that I'm going to enter into Hazel's challenge;

https://www.fezziwigsfestivefrolics.com/2021/03/santa-says.html

My image and sentiment are from a Daisy Mae Designs, called When Santa Got Stuck up the Chimney. and I've coloured it with Derwent Softcolour pencils and added some clear gems. The paper is from an older First Edition pad called Vintage. I'm not that happy with the lay down of the colouring, I didn't use my usual Strathmore paper and it seems the the paper I did use isn't suited to the pencils, or the other way around. The more I use colour pencils I'm realising how important what paper you use is. No all pencils suit all types of paper.

Anyway, we have no hard and fast plan for this weekend, if the weather is good we might go for a drive somewhere, but we'll be keeping safe whatever we do.

So that's me for now, take care of yourselves

What a fun card Kate and know what you mean about different card for different mediums..it is a total minefield and very difficult to find one sort of card that does everything. Your colouring looks great though and I love the cute Santas in the background. I hope you have an enjoyable Easter. x

Aww, poor Santa, and head first yet! Fun Christmas card Kate, I am not good with pencil coloring, so I admire those that are. And I have about 8 different set of them, so I guess it's me! Anyway, your card is such fun, lucky recipient.

Hugs
Sue

It’s a great stamp Kate...and that background paper is perfect.....
It’s sunny but very cold here today down to -1c last night ...we are busy spring cleaning and doing a bit of decorating this weekend,better than getting stuck in the traffic at bank holiday despite all the warning people will still ignore them...we are staying safe...take care xxx

I think your Santa card is a delight Kate, fun with great papers and a fabulous image. I hope you don't get caught in traffic Kate, seems the Brecon Beacons with us is a parking nightmare, even the beaches were full and it's not that warm! although we do have blue skies and sun, OH! such wonderful sun :)
Keep safe and enjoy your weekend whatever you do.

This is a lovely fun card, I love it. We have had a Quiet Easter. Matthew was Cantor at the Cathedral in Aberdeen, we watched the Mass when we came home from our Mass here. He did very well. He is doing really well at University. Marlene
