O Christmas Tree!

Hello to You All from a very dark and dismal Inverness, the lights have been on since around 2PM, and it hasn't hasn't enticed either of us over the door.  How is it where you are?

We have however managed to get bits and pieces done around the house, and Alistair has put together a new nest of tables, thankfully they were easy enough to do, and I'm pretty pleased with them, I love getting new things for the house, and we are needing to replace quite a few things, but Teallach stops me from doing that as he is such a scratcher and he's ruined curtains, a footstool, just about every carpet in the house has been scratched at it's corners, I tear my hair out with him, and I've spent a fortune on anti-scratch products. I wouldn't be without him though, you have a pet, you don't have a show house.

Anyhoo, I've got a card today using a stamp from a new company to me...Daisy Mae, and this is awfully cute;

This is quite a large stamp and I've coloured it up with a mixture of Copic Markers and SN, gel pens, and lots of different coloured Stickles for sparkle. I coloured round the edges with DI. Matted onto, midnight blue card and them silver mirror card and added clear gems . The sentiments are all from the same set.

Thank you for all the lovely comments left about my last card, I do appreciate the time you all take to visit and leave them/

Well, that's me for today, I hope you are all well and coping with whatever lockdown you are in. Our First Minister tells us that that there is beginning to be a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, and I'm sure she is right, after all Scotland is through to the European Cup in 21 years, there's a shift of occupant in the White House, Cummings is gone, and the vaccine is coming along quite fast, there is definitely a  light although just a pinprick, so keep yourselves safe and see you soon,

Oooh lits of lovely snowmen, fab card. Dull and wet here today. We did venture out this morning just to collect a takeaway drink and afternoon tea which we shall soon be enjoying (the afternoon tea, not the drink!) and then to a farm shop for eggs and potatoes. Yes things are looking up, thank goodness Trump lost and hope of a vaccine is brilliant news. Stay safe.

Hi Kate,
it has been damp and dismal here off and on today.
Very dark this morning brightening up about lunchtime and dark again by 4pm and also raining.

I love your wonderful card and that stamped tree is gorgeous.
What a very unusual tree but so wonderful and lovely.
I love all the snowmen and the pressies.
Your colour of it is fantastic too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Greetings Kate, what an image group of festive snow people. It is getting dark here around 4:00 PM. It wouldn't be too bad but then in the Pacific Northwest it stays cloudy with very little to no sun most days.

Hugs Diane

Ohhh, Kate! What a sweet snowman tree! Daisy Mae really made a delightful snowman-and-all-things-Christmasy collage tree, didn't she? Your coloring looks fabulous! I hope that Scotland is indeed pulling out of COVID's clutches. Here in Florida, we are on a fast rise. There is now proof that well over 10% and probably closer to 20% of those who recover from COVID in the US end up being "long haulers". That's what happened to me during the pandemic of 1957. Some symptoms never went away. I'm sad that so many other people will be suffering for a long time. It seems so un-cautious to me the way people (here) won't wear masks. One friend who is 77 actually told me she felt "stupid" being the only one wearing a mask at a recent family event. I reminded her she is NOT stupid. Then it turned out two of the teens from that family event tested positive, and other family members did later. Not sure why I told you all that - but hope it was not TMI (too much info). Best Wishes to you, my dear blogging friend! hugs, de

A gorgeously fun stamp and CAS card design Kate, so cheery to look at on these dull miserable days, I much prefer a cold, dry, crisp day.

Fabulous christmas card, love the image,

Well we are in lockdown here in Somerset, we actually had our first conversation with a friend who we meet in the garden center on Friday, apart from my hubby thats the first conversation with anyone for over a week. It was nice to see her and we were not expecting to see anyone.
Yesterday it was dark all day which meant the lights were on all day, it felt like night not a day, today the sun is shinning but for how long is anyone's guess as rain is forecasted

It's been just the same here in the Fens all weekend Kate, the sun did put in a brief appearance before it threw it down again.

Your Christmas car is so bright and cheerful and will surely bring a smile to the recipients face.

This is gorgeous Kate, I agree with you there is a little light at the end of the tunnel. It was time Cummings left the Westminster Government, he should have gone in May. I tis looking good for the Vaccine. A new President for America, I am so pleased Trump has gone. Scotland did well to be in the finals of Euro 2021. Marlene

Hi Kate

What a fabulous card all those snowmen make .. .. great colouring too!

Love the finished look.

Weather has been very dark and dull here too for quite a few days now. Not good. I hate crafting with an electric light on .. .. much prefer bright natural light.

Take care and stay safe

Love Jules xx

I love the snowmen what a darling stamp, Kate. Your colorwork is beautiful and the card design is too.

We are looking forward here too. Can't wait to get the idiot out of the White House. The incoming President is a good man, but has a lot to clean up. But along with a vaccine, this is all good news to us.

This is a sweet image Kate and I love your beautifully coloured snowmen and the gold mirri card frames them perfectly. I know what you mean about grey days and having the light on a lot of the time. We only have a patio door for light and the further end of the room away from it has the light on most of the day in the winter. I just can't wait for the nights to start getting lighter. It usually becomes noticeable once we get to the middle of January down here. x
