Birthday Wishes!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are having a lovely weekend, hasn't the weather been fabulous! We have had three gloriously hot and sunny days, breaking up a bit now though, but still most enjoyable.

I had no real plans, just some housework and I've managed a wee bit of crafting. Alistair has been painting one of the sheds and a fence, so he's been very busy, but they are looking good.

Thanks to everyone who left lovely comments on my last post, I do appreciate your visits and comments, always great to hear what you think of my makes.

I have a Birthday card today;
I've used a lovely embossing folder, stamp and die set free with Creative Stamping magazine, and I've added colour with Copics. I stamped the birthday sentiment on to a piece of ripped velum and finished with a few pearls and WOS for sparkle. I've matter it on to a piece of dark silver glitter paper.  Just a card for my box, nobody yet in mind for it.

We are going to see the new Downton Abbey film tomorrow, I say we because Alistair announced he wanted to come with me, so, he's been well warned to watch it without a running commentary, as he did at home whilst watching it. I told him I would buy him sweeties if he promised to be well behaved lol.

That's all from me today, enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you soon,

What a pretty card, Kate. The butterfly is lovely and I like the embossed background. Hope you enjoy the film - I've read some very mixed reviews. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Hi Kate. It is good that Alistair is painting the sheds and the fence because in my house (and summer house) it is me the painter! Not my husband!
Your card is beautiful, my friend. Really lovely embossed background and great coloring of the butterfly.
As for the films, in my family happens exactly the opposite: My husband loves cinema but I go with him only if I want to see a great movie. I do not think that cinema is just a chance to go out (as my husband thinks). I choose it only if I really want to see a movie.
Kisses!!!

A very pretty card Kate. Lovely embossing and sweet butterfly.
Enjoy Downton Abbey. None of my friends want to go and I don't fancy sitting in the cinema by myself so I'll have to wait for it on DVD!

Your card is so sweet looking and love the minimal colouring the background. I am always bad to want to colour all of it. I love the butterfly too. We saw Downton Abbey yesterday and it is really good and made us wanting more. My hubby believes they will do more if this makes money. It was surprisingly funny in spots as well which was fun. I really enjoyed it and my hubby is a major fan.

Always love Butterflies Kate and what lovely goodies to get as freebies, they have made a really pretty and feminine card.

Enjoy the movie, I'm also a big fan although not sure if or when I might get to see it, might have to wait until Sky have it, mind you that means chuntering in the background, yes I get a running commentary as well form the other side of the room.
