Star Gazing!

Hello Everyone, hope all is well with you today and that you are looking forward to the weekend.
I think we are to have some pants weather, high winds and rain....I hate winds, can cope with the rain okay, but both together is awful.

It's the Choral Society Coffee Morning tomorrow, so it's always good to have decent weather for that, however, there will be lots of gorgeous home baking to eat with the teas and coffee and some to buy too. I know there will be homemade jam too. Our Accompanist, Sheila always plays the grand piano and there is some lovely music. It all takes place in our Town House, a very grand building, it's a lovely way to spend an hour or so, and I usually win something in the raffle.
Apart from this we have no other plans for the weekend.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate each and every one of them.

Another little Card-io card today and another one that was in the selection I gave to Moreen and this was her favourite.....wonder if you can guess why!
Yes that's right, it's all about the animals. Isn't the sweets image, I love it, and mean to make one for myself. The sentiment is from Creative Stamping magazine. I heat embossed the star in silver, which I won't do again, as it didn't turn out so well. I sprinkled some Frantage Snow and some sparkle.

Well that's me for now, I will be back on Sunday with my CCC card. Have a lovely evening and weekend and see you soon,

Wow Kate what a love design. We aren't having winds but it was 33 degrees this morning with frost.

I just love the way the animals are all looking at the star as if they are wondering what this very bright star is. or maybe they know more than we do! Cardio make fabulous stamps and you have done a great job with this one. No wonder Moreen loved it. enjoy your coffee morning tomorrow. We (my WI)are also holding a coffee morning then in aid of the Royal British Legion. We have made about 3,000 poppies to decorate the church. Not bad for our small craft group. Hope you are well and don't get blown away. I must admit that the wind is getting up here too and like you I hate the wind - so destructive. Hugs Christine xx

Adorable scene with all those animals silhouettes and the star! The lovely sentiment perfectly matches the scene!
Here a strong wind has done a lot of damages, but now there is only rain, rain and rain... It rains by a week or so... very unusual for my zone. :(
Have a lovely weekend

This is a brilliant card. Love the outlines of the animals. The wind and rain started up here about 6pm and is due to be with us for the next few days. Have spent the last two days picking up leaves in the back garden from the neighbouring trees. Hate that job. hugs Mrs A.

Your card is a delight Kate, your use of minimal colour really draws the eye to those lovely animals. I don't know if you ever watched The Vicar of Dibley, but I recall one episode where Geraldine held a service for animals and as there were so many it took place outside the Church and you card puts me in mind of that in the most lovely way.
