Inky Backgrounds for Back to Basics and Beyond Challenge 12!

Hello Everyone form a wet and windy Inverness, gosh has the weather turned nasty, storm Ali is headed for us, batten down the hatches folks.

It's time for Challenge 12 from Back to Basics and Beyond Challenge Blog and the technique this time is to have a go at Inky Backgrounds, here is my DT card;
Here I've used Pixi Powders for the background behind this lovely feather image from Chocolate Baroque. The main background is Oxides and heat embossed images.

I hope you will join in with the challenge which you can find here
There are You Tube tutorials to help you, but the DT will have plenty of inspiration for you, so give it a go.

Just before I go, just a thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments on my card for the CCC and for the information about polar bears.

See you soon, take care of yourselves,

How incredibly gorgeous, Kate! I love how you have two backgrounds, similar in appearance with the embossing and watercolors, but with a different outcome entirely! GORGEOUS GORGEOUS - BEYOND GORGEOUSNESS! I love it! I also like the way you added specified color to your big feather as well! hugs, de

Lovely inkiness Kate which really sets off the lovely CB feather. Windy here as well and pretty chilly too.

Wet and windy here today too Kate, I like the wind but only when it's dry!
Lovely card, I love the background you've created, I have some Brusho's but rarely get them out and I really should!

Hi Kate
I have to admit that I am not a feather fan, peacock feathers in particular. I was attacked by pigeons in Trafalgar Square once and I think its scarred me for life lol!!!
However, your card is lovely and the background is fantastic.

This feather looks fabulous with the Pixi Powders in the background Kate and the colours are beautiful, this feather is extremely pretty, not one I have but definitely on the list. I thought I had already left a comment on this one but obviously not. Our son visited from Australia about this time so I obviously had my eye off the ball for a while. He went home about two weeks or so ago and since then I have been getting back into my normal routines. I will try to do better as you are always so kind and visit me often which I really appreciate. Hope your singing is going well. x
