Autumn Sunset and a Little Candy!

Hello to Everyone, I hope you are all well and have had a good weekend. Gosh they go so fast, I feel so lucky that really everyday can be a weekend for me now that I've retired.
I remember lying in bed on a Sunday night worrying about going back to work on the Monday, horrible times, glad to be out of them.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments  on my last card, you are so very kind.

We had a lovely drive out to Dornoch yesterday and the weather held, which was good as there was two weddings at the Dornoch Cathedral, which is a beautiful little church and very popular for weddings..... well it was where Madonna got married to Guy Richie a number of years ago, although that has gone by the way now.  We had a a lovely spot of lunch and a walk on the beach. Quiet day today, the usual food shopping, which I hate but even more hate putting it all away when we get it home.

Here is my card;
Sorry about the photo, didn't matter which way I turned it, I still got this sort of flash on it.
I've used another of John Next Door stamps sets and this one is the Autumn Flowers.
I inked up some Silk Art Card with Oxides using the Ink Dusters then make some hills with the Inkylicious mountains and hills stencil. I then stamped the flower images with Black Archival Ink. To finish off added a few drops of  Liquid Pearls.
Loved using these stamps and of course I used my favourite colours. Quite pleased with the result. I'll not bother with a sentiment until needed. I also thin this could do for a male card too. John's stamps are so very versatile and stand alone or with other stamps that you might have in your stash. Super for creating scenes too.

Now I did say that I would have a little give a way as I had reached to grand number of 120 Followers. Always amazes me that people like what I do and want to visit, so as a wee thank you, here is what I have put together;
I will post world wide as I have some lovely Followers in far off Lands. So, if you would like these bits and pieces all you have to do is leave a comment on this post, you don't need to put it on your side bar, and my random machine..... the lovely Alistair will pick a number out of  his hat next Sunday. That gives everyone a week to visit and leave a comment.
But pleased be a Follower, that is the only stipulation to win the candy.

I was looking through my Follower list and couldn't help wondering where some folk have gone to. I have quite a few who seem to have dropped of the blogging scene altogether, not seen for years really, I do hope they are well. Of course there are many reasons why people come and go, and life moves on for people in one way or another, nevertheless, it's lovely that I have many of you still with me from my beginnings in Blogland and and so many new people, and everyone so very talented.

That's me for now, so take care everyone and see you soon,

Wonderful colors and love the stamps of the flowers. Sounds like a nice weekend. Sweet candy, love the snowmen!! Kate, I am with you about the grocery shopping and having to put it away. They are introducing buying on line and having it delivered to your home......tempting,except having someone else pick out fresh veggies and fruits doesn't appeal to me. Have a nice week.

Hugs
Sue

Gorgeous card and I love hearing about your outings. I schedule my posts so don't add as much personal detail as I could sometimes. There are a lot ofnpeople who have given up blogging over recent years, several nonlonger making cards, such a shame as I really miss their beautiful work. Thanks for the chance to win x

Your candy looks lovely. Don't know what blogger is playing at nowadays. I was following you right from CCC days. Have re followed but now it put me in incognito white no clue as to who I am. Really frustrating . This is a really pretty card. And gorgeous colours. Hugs

Gorgeous card Kate. Perfect for male or female. Sounds like you had a perfect trip out. Shopping is exhausting!! By the time you pick things up and pop them in your trolley (navigating other shoppers as you go), then take them out again to put on counter, then put the back in your trolley, take them out of the trolley and put them in your car, take them out of your car and into the house and then put them away. It's like a session at the gym!!! The worst is, you get home and there is nothing to eat!! ha ha. Lovely post. Congratulations on your followers.
Hugs Flo xx

These silhouette flowers look beautiful against that pretty oxide background Kate and the outline hills give it scale and love the black layer which echoes the black silhouettes. A wonderful scene. x

What a beautiful card! Your sunset background is gorgeous and I just love the silhouetted flowers! Photographing shiny or shimmery is so difficult, but we can still see the beauty, that's all that counts.

I know what you mean about followers disappearing. I've checked in on some folk who haven't posted in months or a year without any notice. Like you, I hope everyone is ok. sending hugs :)
