Autumn Leaves!

Hello from a very wet and windy Inverness, gosh it was blowing a hoolie and with the reain battering down from early o'clock, it was a day for staying home, and I consider myself lucky that I can do that.
So how are you all, well I hope, but sending out kind thoughts to those who are not so well.

Thank you for your visits and lovely comments, I do appreciate your time, everyone is so busy these days, even me who is busy doing nothing, although I have to say Milo is taking up quite a bit of my afternoons. He's a darling but has been in the bad books quite a bit just lately. Yesterday, I arrived to find that he had seriously rashed the cat's scratching platforme, and made a hole in the carpet underneath the spare bed.   So I'm wondering what I'll find today. He's just bored and hopefully he will grow out of it.

I have a little Autumnal card for you today;
Now I have been seeing cards like this from many blogs, so this is where my inspiration has come from.
I've used the lovely dies that came along with Crafters Companion project magazine and cut into the base card. got very messing with gilding flakes on a spare piece of white card, I used Indigo Blue Autumn Blaze. The actual die cut I glittered up with Imagination Craft's Sparkle Medium in Ruby Gold. Inkylicious sentiment, and som red sequins.
Sorry about the colours not showing up so well, I tried to correct with my photo editor, but still not great. Just a card for my box.

Well that's my offering for today, I'm hoping that some of the cloud cover will lift tonight as the weather people are saying there could be good sightings of the Aurora Borealis .
Take care everyone till next time,

Lovely autumnal card Kate using the card underneath the die cut with gilding flakes was a good idea and the actual glittered die cut gives extra dimension,

Hi Kate
Wow, what a stunning card. It looks like you have dipped real leaves.......beautiful!
I thought l recognised the Inkylicious sentiment. They do some wonderful stamps and I usually buy one when I go to a craft show.
Trashing and holes in carpet...........he would be in the naughty corner lol!
Best wishes.

Naughty Milo, guess he will be keeping you on your toes. I had a previous dog who loved to chew too, such a pain to leave. She did grow out of it eventually!
The weather was horrible yesterday, I got caught in that horrendous shower midmorning going into work, like a duck! Drenched I was.

Loving your autumnal card Kate, those leaves are beautiful.
Have a good weekend, bit late this morning posting my oldie was so engrossed in baking last night forgot what day it was!

Hugs Erika. x

Hi Kate,
oh what a gogeous card.
I love your very fab design of this, and the colours are wonderful.
This is funny as I have just finished a autumnal card with leaves on.
Will be showing tomorrow.
I wish we could have some rain as it hasn't rained properly for ages again our grass is nearly dead.
We had a few splats this morning that lasted all of 5 mins.
You can keep the gales though. LOL.
Have a very lovely weekend, and I do hope your weahter improves.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Kate wish I'd known you just wanted a basic sewing machine because I've just upgraded mine. My old one is just sat doing nothing, it would have been perfect for you.

Have fun anyway. If you don't get sorted you know where I am.

Hugs Erika. x

I love those gorgeous textured leaves :) Happy Weekend, Shirley xx ps.. I did melt in the extreme heat here this summer, it knocks out my energy, I'm so happy that it's cooler.

Wow ...absolutely amazing. Love the clever idea and how you've mixed the texture and colours. A real stand out card and so creative. Home now and well rested from my holidays. Internet was intermittent but I did see this post before it went off and was 'intrigued' about the awful weather you where having and wasn't looking forward to that part of coming home! I missed dipping into your blog and admiring your amazing inspiration. x

Bet it feels very cozy to stay inside, warm & dry. And isn't it great that you can do that, w/out having to worry about Work! HOpe the puppy behaves a bit better in the coming days. And I'm loving these autumn leaves. I'm rubbish with the gilding flakes, and I admire your success with the product on this card. Love the CAS design with the wonderful coppery tones of the pretty leaves. TFS & Hugs
