Knitted Cushion Cover and Two Handsome Boys!

Hello Everyone and hoping you are a fine and dandy.  Have you got snow?  We had some this morning and a few flutters over the day, but it's come to nothing, but damn cold.

Thank you for all your kind comments on my last card, I know it all takes time to get around all the Blogs you follow so I am very appreciative that you support me so well.

Now, I don't seem to have lost any followers as some of you have, so I guess my Followers are all with Google, it's a pity that some of you have lost people though.

Anyway, today I haven't got a card but some knitting to show;

I started this cushion cover over a year ago, but just couldn't get into it, but finally finished it last night.  It has a woven look made with a slip stitch pattern and the colours are a sort of sage green and mustard, chosen to go along with the plaid chair.  It's an Aran weight yarn made from nettles, and knits up beautifully.  I am so pleased to have it finished and in situ.

I've got a couple of photos of two of my best boys taken on Christmas day;
Alistair wearing his jazz waistcoat. I asked my friend Dale to make him one to wear when he and Stewart go to the Edinburgh Jazz Festival, just left the style and material up to her, and hasn't she done well. Alistair got it for his birthday and just loved it, and thought he would give it an outing for Christmas.

Here is our furry rascal, he wasn't all that impressed by Christmas really, not even by his new mouse toy,

Sorry it's a bit photo heavy today, but I hope you like what you see. That's me for today so I will say cheerio for now and take care of yourselves,

You are clever Kate! So many different crafts you do perfectly. I don't remember the last time I tried to knit and sadly find it too hard for my fingers because I can create paper/card projects or knit doing both makes my hands and fingers swell and hurt a lot but I do miss it Karen xx

Beautifully knitted cushion Kate, and I bet it looks grand on your plaid chair. That charming man of yours looks so smart in his jazzy waistcoat too. Now he needs a Tartan one to wear when playing the Fiddle. Your furry boy is not amused by Christmas celebrations. Love his expression. Keep Safe and Warm. Hugs Rita xxxx

Hi Kate,
what brilliant cushion covers.
Wonderfully created, and I bet they are so warm and cosy to sit against.
Doesn't your hubby look great in that wonderful bright and colourful waistcoat.
Just what you need for a jazz festival.
I must admit your cat doesn't look amused though.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

love the cushion cover Kate the colours are beautifully soft and muted in complete contrast to Alistair's waistcoat it's fantastic. The last knitting I did was a Dr. Who scarf for my younger son all 18 ft of it in the correct colours no less I found the pattern on-line what a weight it was ,

Wow what a snazzy, jazzy waistcoat!! No snow here in Stevenage, first frost this morning and darned cold but at least it feels a tad wintery.
As for your cushions, well I am not a knitter, a nit...yes, so very impressed with your creations.
What a talented lady!!! X

Kate, I love your chairs (I think we have the same ones!) your cushions are just beautiful and go perfectly. Such satisfaction in finishing a project you put to one side a while ago. I have so many unfinished projects, really bad at getting bored and doing something else instead!
I love your husbands bright waistcoat, just perfect for Christmas.

Have a super weekend, hugs Erika. x

Some super pictures Kate, love those cushions, you must feel good to have finally finished them now. I have a few unfinished projects too and just can't seem to tackle them.
On a positive note, my computer is behaving itself now thank goodness, but I haven't loaded it up with too many programs as yet and am making sure that I back up everything at each stage.
Take care and have a lovely weekend.

Kate, I didn't understand one word of the description of your knitted cushion, but I did understand that it is beautiful! What a lot of work and time, but such beautiful results. Jealous, knitting is something I just could not ever get, and believe me I tried! And I can crochet. Go figure.
Both boys look handsome as can be, and what a lovely job your friend did on the vest, and he sure wears it well!!! Look how tall and proud that kity is sitting up for his Christmas picture. Fun post, thanks for sharing.

Hugs
Sue

Fabulous cushion cover Kate, and well done for finishing it. I have lots of WIPs, I'm afraid, both knitting and crochet, but am planning to get quite a few finished over the next few weeks while I'm stuck at home, fingers crossed! Loving your other photos too, especially of your furry friend, but I am biased being a cat owner myself, Judith xx

I adore your knitted cushions. Tracey was crocheting one for me for my Christmas two years ago but hasn't finished it and A Rach knitted me a small one for my rocking chair but it got lost before it was sewn up! I love a knitted cushion and I really like how you've pug buttons on it. Tell Alistair he looks very handsome in his new waistcoat xx

Boy, Alistair sure looks like a dandy and he is so happy with his attire too. I don't know how to knit - you did a beautiful job.

I still have a sick cat -
