Hi Folks, how are you all today, well I hope, but sending out kind thoughts to those who need them.
We have had a beautiful day here, really quite warm and sunny, clouding over now and looks as if it might rain. September so far has been a much better month weather wise than the earlier Summer months, often the way sometimes.
I was at my Ladies group this morning and it was crocheting this week, I really enjoyed it, but I'll not be crocheting a project anytime soon. I have to learn to hold the hook and the yarn more comfortably, I was a bit cackhanded so to speak. It's their cooking day tomorrow and once again I will have to miss it as I've got an appointment at the eye clinic. It's been all happening this week, breast screening yesterday, dental hygienist and eyes, you would think that I'm tip top wouldn't you, but still no appointment for the stomach thing as yet. Still enough of the health woes.
On to my card;
Gone with another fab stencil from the Craftersworkshop called Mini Time travel. and inked through with Distressed Inks, I'm thinking that the colours haven't shown up all that well in the photo. Kanban card in the background and the sentiment, both from one of their Steam punk ranges. The wooden clock I found in Hobby Craft.
I made this for a young man's birthday, he is a teenager, never know what to do for them and I don't think he is into gaming and such or footy. I hope he will like it.
Well you will never believe it but the post has just arrived and my appointment, which is this coming Monday, the downside is that Alistair will be away on a canoe trip for a few days, things are never simple.
So that's me for now, take care everyone, and see you soon,

I think boys/men are the hardest to make for but I'm sure he will love this one Kate. Good news about your appointment finally but a shame it hasn't worked out when Alistair will be around. The sooner you get it done though the better and you will have had your MOT for this year going by what other checks you mentioned. Take care,
Lorraine

This is gorgeous Kate, such a fabulous stenciled design and wonderful detailing.
hugs Sue xx
great card Kate...just perfect for a fella and I adore that little clock embellishment....just back from a mammogram myself so I know how you feel...best to get it all done! xxxxx
Lovely idea for the male of the species - awkward creatures that they are! I must admit I often resort to clocks etc too. I like the stencilling idea. I have a few that I have never used so I must get them out and try this technique. Good luck with all your check ups. Hugs Christine xx
great make - love those clocks - works really well. Big hugs rachel xx
Brilliant card for a teenager Kate.
Been really miserable here today, cold and raining..
Good luck with your last MOT Kate..

Fabulous card Kate, makes for a great masculine design.
Hugs Diane
A perfect time card for a young man Kate, stencilling really is back in fashion big time just now.
I felt the same when I started crocheting too especially as I am left handed and was taught by a right hander with lots of patience!
I don't hold my yarn as you are supposed to I just never found it comfortable to work with. I have adapted to my own style which still gets the job done but maybe not as quickly. I hope you have fun learning, it does suddenly just click and as you are already a knitter you will probably pick it up quite quickly.
Hugs Erika. x
Hi Kate
Love your card, just perfect for a male & that stencil is fab......something else to add to my never ending wish list! Am following you now....hope that's ok.
hugs Jo x
Easy to see you're keeping busy & having some fun in your retirement (well the medical stuff aside! On the positive side of that one, at least you're not having to ask for time off!). Glad you are having some pleasant weather to enjoy these things. Loved the stenciled clocks, and perhaps the photo is not as vivid as IRL, but it's very nice I think. Your colors show up well against the white background, and what a perfect theme for a young man who still has 'all the time in the world' to enjoy his life. Loved the tiny clock embellie too! Keep up with the fun things, and sure hope all the 'not-so-fun' things get sorted around soon. Big Hugs & TFS.
Hey Kate - I need to get back to my crocheting - I use to love to sit at night and watch TV and crochet. Now it seems I am always on this dang computer. But I gotta keep up with the Jones!
That is a good stencil and I sure do know that time is flying by!
I hate that you have to miss the cooking session - sounds like so much fun and good food.
Thanks for visiting my blog today Sugar - I sure do appreciate it.

Definitely a boy-card ... and a fun one too. Well done, Kate!
hugs Asha
The time theme is perfect for a birthday, love this stencil.

Hi Kate
Just catching up after a manic weekend at Ally Pally.
I'm sure that your young man will be thrilled with his clock card, very cleverly done.
Blimey gal. . . . . . did you pass your MOT then? How were your emissions lol?
I would recommend having the sedation for your camera in which case someone will need to go with you. . . . . . . . . and Teallach doesn't count!
Best wishes.
