Under the Sea!

Hello from a very wet Inverness, yes the First of September and it's chucking it down.  Dark too, lights are on already.  Alistair is going out to his Astronomical Society meeting, I'm happy to cosy up indoors.

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last card and for your expensive cake stories, in some cased more expensive than my slice of gingerbread.

Just a quick post this evening to show my card for the Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge;
More gorgeous colours to play with, here is my card;
Using the new A year of Stamping stamp Underseas I inked it up with SN Aqua Pens and added a bit of Cosmic Shimmer Glitter to some of the shells.
The background was made using DI in Shabby Shutters, Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender and Pickled Raspberry, and stamps from the Mermaid Queen set, and a stamp from the Seasonal Fragments set inked in Adirondack Eggplant.  Enjoyed doing this one.

Hope you are tip top and enjoying your evening, see you soon,
I would like to enter my card into http://chocolatebaroquechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/challenge-fourteen.html

Beautiful card Kate. Very clever to team up the AYOS stamp with the sea horses and mermaid. Love how you used the Seasonal fragments stamp for the water effect. With my other hat on. Thank you for playing along with the Chocolate Baroque Color Challenge.
Take care,
Hugs Flo xx

Hi Kate,
what a great card, and beautiful colours.
Great design as always.
Yesterday I forgot to mention about my slice of cake.
When we were holidaying at Inverness some years ago we visited Dunrobin Castle in Sutherland I think that's how I remember you spell it in any rate while there we were told of a place that was owned by the owner of Harrods, and how they did delicious cakes so we decided to go and have a look.
Now there was one particular cake we were looking for as we were told they made it excellently.
Well after a long journey we found the place, and for the life of me I can't remember the name of the place, but they had run out of the cake we were after so we thought we would have something else.
So guess how much we paid for 4 cups of coffee and 4 pieces of cake.
As I can remember it was over £30.00.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

I really like this card, Kate. Unusual mix of colours for an underwater card....but they work famously. The AYOS stamp and this month Colours Challenge - very cleverly executed. Well done!

Hi Kate
Gorgeous vibrant colours so right up my street!
Had to laugh at Jenny's comment about Dunrobin as quite clearly they hadn't charging that amount lol!
I did pay €25 for coffee and cake to sit outside Cafe Florian in St Marks Square Venice but it was on my bucket list so it had to be done lol!
