Sunny Days!

Hello and Good Evening, I hope everyone has had a good day whatever you've gotten up to and that you're well.

IT been a lovely day here, very warm, although we did have a very heavy shower of rain in the late afternoon and thankfully Alistair noticed and brought the washing in, clever man that he is.

I've been busy today doing lots of other things but crafting.  I've kept putting off sort of admin things, for ages and now feel I've got to deal with them, but it means sitting at the computer and phone and filing away documents. Hate it.

I'm off to see an eye specialist tomorrow as I have some diabetic damage to my eyes and it's got to a stage where treatment might be needed, and when I was at the optician yesterday he told me that I have the beginnings of cataracts, life just gets better!!!.  However, It is good that these things get picked up really quickly nowadays.  I was astounded to learn not so long ago that way back, before so much was known about diabetes, that the life expectancy was around 2-3 years.  I'd be long gone.

Anyway enough of that here is my card which is a few weeks old and one I made for a friend's son who has landed back in hospital,
I wanted to try and lift his spirits and I thought this was a good card as he lives in a seaside village, and I do want life to be sunny for him again, he's such a lovely young man.
Michael Powell Stamp
Prismacolour Pencils
Sentiment also from a Michael Powell card Kit
Kraft card
Core'dinations
Riverbank Revels Paper
Card Candy
Just a simple card really, but I hope it cheered me up

All for tonight folks, and thank you  for visiting and leaving all the wonderful comments not only on my cards, but the good wishes for my OH meeting next week, I feel very supported.

Hugs Kate x

gorgeous card Kate - I love those beach huts - brilliant image. Hope your eyes are okay. My dad's are getting worse steadily with his diabetes - it really is an awful problem. Big Hugs rachel x

It's sure to cheer him up with those sunny colours and cheerful beach huts, and it's always so nice to know that someone's thinking of you. My Mum is developing cataracts too, as a result of the treatment for her iritis. She'll need surgery once the condition is more stable, but it's done as day case now and isn't the major op it once was.

I truly hope all goes well with your eyes! That must be scary, but I hope they've caught any issue early enough to give it the best possible treatment. I love the bold colors you used for the little beach houses :)

Best crafty wishes!

Hi Kate, love the image on your card, you've coloured it so well I thought it was from the decoupage kit! Hope you get on ok at the eye clinic. If you do need cataract surgery as Wendy said it is so quick it's not even really a daycase. My aunt went in at 8.30 and was out by 11am and watching Iona's Easter concert by 11.30! Hugs, Shona xx

Hi Kate
I love the Michael Powell images. My lovely friend did me an amazing cross stitch of one of his Venitian images.
Have a great day and try not to worry about health things. x

I love this card Kate. Great minds think alike, I have this stamp and couldn't not get it living in Hopeman. I have inked it but I'll be blowed if I can find the image. One of those jobs I've never finished.
Hugs Erika.
