Marsha!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and staying cosy.  I've been reading how many of you have loads of snow.  Up here in Inverness, we don't have any, well a salt shaker amount. it is trying to snow though, as long as it keeps off tonight as I have to go out to Choral practise.

Anyway, it's nice to be back again, and thank you all so much for visiting and leaving comments.
  We have been away in Gairloch visiting Isabelle and Graeme and a lovely time we've had, for me it was like having respite.  We were so well looked after with good company, great food and drink and the most wonderfully bitter cold weather, but sunny.  Alistair took his telescope and they sky was just wonderful for star gazing and as Graeme is interested in that too they were in their element. However, it was really cool to be able to see Jupiter and four of it's moons.  Isabelle and I retreated into the warmth pretty quickly though and left the boys to it.

So I've not caught up with card making too much yet but managed to finish this one today, it is one of the new stamps purchased from http://www.aciddropsandwhatnots.co.uk/  who produce some really quirky stamps, the quips and style of the stamps really make me smile, so here it is;
Oh this is so annoying another duff photo.
My husband has named her " Marsha", and I think the the company are looking for a name for her so I'll pass our name on.  She is coloured with Promarkers, and matted and layered on to black and red co-ordination card.  The background paper is from Papermania, black ribbon from The Ribbon Girls, red gems from my box and a bit of Star Dust on her stole and hat feathers.

As I've not put an occasion sentiment on it, the card could be for any thing.

I have kept it quite simple, no flowers or bows, but I think it is quite effective, what do you think?  I await your comments.

Off to make the dinner now.

Have a warm and cosy evening,  Kate x

Hi Kate
Love the card! If your hubby likes Marsha that's 2 up for her. Glad you had a nice break away, it does make all the difference. It's stopped snowing here, (Essex), so hopefully the M&B/channel4 shoot should go ahead. Keep your fingers crossed.

Kate. Am I being stupid or what but people have said they can't read your blog for the falling hearts on their screens. Well I am looking at your blog on my screen and I can't see any. Your card is great and I think she does suit the name Marsha. Hazel

Hi Kate, I think she suits Martha. It's a fab image, love the colour combo and the sentiment is ace. My daughter takes my photos cos I'm rubbish!
Hope you managed to get to choral practise. Our roads have been pretty bad and more snow forcast but not arrived yet but it's freezing.
Hugs Sue W.
