Snow Folk for the CCC!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all keeping well.

I'm sorry to have been away from Blogland for a wee while, but I've not been too well, then both of us caught Covid. After three years of going nowhere and doing nothing, Alistair goes walking with a friend who had been away at Celtic Connections in Glasgow and brought back the dreaded Covid, so not only Alistair and another friend who was walking too caught it, but Lawrence's wife, and yours truly. Really nasty! My energy levels are still low and my blood sugars are through the roof. Apparently this can happen with covid. However I have now tested negative, unfortunately Alistair is still positive. One good thing though I've lost half a stone in weight, every cloud and all that. I did though have to cancel the last part of my SeHCAT scan, which I'm annoyed about, as I'm hoping that's going to tell me what's happening in my stomach/bowel. Still, that's life.

So, I missed the Christmas Card Club on Sunday, I just couldn't summon up the energy to make anything, but I've managed today. The theme was A card with Snow Folk,

I've got a little Snow Family from Card-io Stamps, all other stamps are from Card-io too. Sentiment is from Lavinia Sentiment Stickers.

I'm hoping to get back to commenting soon, I'm sure I've missed lots off wonderful creations from you. I just can't believe how tired I am.

Anyway, you take care of yourself, and remember Covid is still out there,

Mooch and the Floral Moon!

Hello Folks, I hope you are well, and enjoying the slightly lighter days, Springs' on it's way. I'm seeing lots of snowdrops around, unfortunately not mine, but other bulbs are sprouting up.

I've popped in with a birthday card I made of my DiL whose birthday it was yesterday.

Once again I've used a combination of stamps from different brands. When I saw this gorgeous stencil from Sweet poppy Stencils, I new it was the one I wanted to make Moreen's card, I coloured it with Lavinia Element inks, added Mooch from Lavinia, who is watching Lavinia stars. Background is a stencil, also from Lavinia. Added Stickles and sequins for a little sparkle. Happy to say Moreen like it.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my previous card.

Off now to have a look at what you have been making, take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Dark Christmas Sky for CCC!

Hi folks, I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend. It's been a quiet one for us here, just doing a bit of this and that around the house.

It's time once again for the Christmas Card Club to show their latest cards and this time the theme is Dark Christmas Sky or Anything Goes if you can't manage that.

I've the titled this "look at that star" and I've started with a circular card from Lavinia Stamps and used mainly Card-io stamps, including my favourite set Star Struck, Just love all the animals watching the sky. I've added glitter on the snow.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, you are very kind and so encouraging.

Please have a look at what the other CCC girls make, their cards are always fabulous.

That's me for now, take care and enjoy your weekend,

Mermaid Queen!

Hello there, how are you all doing, I hope you are well.

I can hardly believe it's February already and the light is remaining longer, and my Spring bulbs are already showing shoots popping up. Spring is on it's way.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my last card, which was a wee while ago.

I have a card today which will be going to my friend Fiona,

I've combined Chocolate Baroque stamps with Lavinia Stamps. The mermaid is from CB, and some of the foliage is from Lavinia. The background is made with Pixi Powders, and I've use watercolour pencils and gel pens. I've not used this CB stamp in years, it was good to give it an outing. Just hope Fiona likes it.

We met up the other day for a coffee, it was lovely to see her. She was telling me that she's not been too well, it's the chemicals going through her system, I'm sure it takes their toll. However she's still smiling.

Well that's me for now, Teallach is telling me he want's his food, he's sitting staring me out trying to make me feel guilty for ignoring him.

Take care and see you soon,
