Whale Hello There !

Hello Everyone and I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Don't they come around so quickly!!

I've been missing in action again this last week as I've had my lovely friend Rita visiting, some of you might know her from Blogland and she is also on the CCC team.  It's been a brilliant few days, and Alistair has been a star driving us lots of places with wonderful views. Yesterday, we went to Cawder Castle, Macbeth wasn't there. Rita just loved all the history of it and the lovely gardens. Now this is just up the road from us, but I'd never been inside the castle. Anyway, visit over and Rita now home.

This is a Pink Ink stamp set, I love this whale and it didn't need much colouring as I had stamped it on to a background coloured with Pixi Powders, then just highlighted some of the whale with watercolour. All the other images come in the set as does the sentiment. The background paper is from the Works, a huge 12x12 pad for £3 and the papers are all seaworld colours and designs. A few gems to finish.

Here we are on the drawbridge at the castle,

Here we are in Ullapool tucking into fish and chips, and Alistair was too much concentrating on his fish supper to look at the camera. I have to say I was perishing sitting  there and the the food went cold too quickly, but it's the only way to eat it....outdoors lol.

Thank you so much for all the lovely comment on my last cards, most appreciated.

Off now to catch up with your posts, enjoy the rest of your evening and see you soon,

It is so nice to meet blogging friends and pleased you had a good time with Rita, I met Anesha (Crafting Queen) yesterday and it was lovely to finally meet in person at her local Church fete day. Absolutely love your underwater scene, such depth of colour and the frame really draws the eye.

Well Kate, I had the best time with you both. We really did have fun and Alistair was the Star on all our trips. I have came home with so many great memories of my time far up north in the highlands of Scotland. I also saw this fantastic card and I can tell you is so realistic in real life so to speak. Missing Kate's beautiful boy called Teallach who made friends with me in his own time. Back down to earth now and washing is done and outside to dry. Have a Good Week my friend. Hugs Rita xxxxx

This is gorgeous Kate and I'm not surprised you love that stamp - it's lovely. I haven't purchased any Pink Ink sets yet, lol, there's always a yet wheree stamps are concerned! I must check out The Works online too, as those papers look lovely and lush in one of my favourite colours too.

With reference to Simon Says Stamp stamps I've been lucky enough to win Challenges a couple of times and that's when I've been able to purchase their stamps because I've just had to pay P&P. A year or two ago they had some gorgeous sets that I fell in love with so hubby treated me to those but I don't purchase often from them because of the postage costs and the fact that Royal Mail can sometimes add VAT to an imported order.

A friend of mine was on their DT for a while and she sold some of her sets and I was able to purchase them second hand. There is a selling group that I belong to on Facebook that sometimes has used Simon Says Stamp sets in that people in the UK are selling. Let me know if you want to know the group name as I know there are a few Simon Says sets for sale in the group at the moment.

Looks like you had a lovely time with Rita and I bet it was well cold too xx

The Pink Ink Design stamps are so huge and these whales are beautiful and love the Pixi Powder background too Kate. The extra bit of colouring on the whale is just perfect, and the paper is so pretty and very good value for money from The Works. Glad you had a great time with your friend Rita and love the photos. Ullapool looks beautiful but I know what you mean about food going cold too quickly and those very small wooden forks don't make for quick eating. I usually end up using my fingers..lol. x
