Sending Loving Thoughts!

Hello Everyone, here we are at the start of another week, I hope you are well and enjoyed your weekend. Don't they come and go so quickly????

Beautiful sunny day here but low, low temperatures, with quite a wind chill. Sadly, two Scottish climbers fell and were killed last week, two well known guys in the climbing community, and one of whom Alistair knew. They were very experienced, but something just went wrong. I guess that's nature, the men will be a sad loss, one was from Inverness too. Alistair laughs when I tell him to be careful, that even the most experienced of folk can get caught out, but that's what mountain climbers do, no stopping them, and I do know that they do take care, but sometimes, nature takes over.

Anyway, thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, and I'm happy o say that Moreen loved it. Welcome to my latest follower too, so pleased you decided the click the button, and I hope you pop in often.

Here's my latest card, made for Jim, just a wee bit of encouragement as he starts his chemo on Wednesday,
I used a MFT stencil with Oxide inks and a little sparkle pen . The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque. Sequins only because I splodge a bit of ink.. A simple wee card really.

Well that's me for now, a bit of ironing before teatime, then out to choral practice. Take care of yourselves and see you soon,

Jim will really appreciate this gorgeous card Kate. When I was doing encouragement cards for John he absolutely loved receiving them and they always gave him a boost. It was very sad to hear about the deaths of the two Scottish climbers. John knew one of them too. Both very experienced in their field but sadly it is a sport which takes no prisoners. When John came back from the Alps or Scotland it was always such a huge relief to me. Take care. Hugs Christine xx

Simple but beautiful card, Kate, and I really love it.
As for the nature, men are helpless in front of its power.

Hi Kate

A lovely card of encouragement.

From past blog posts Jim comes across as a very "matter of fact" person and is likely to take everything in his stride .. .. I hope that all goes as well as it can for him and that his positive attitude helps.

I shall be thinking of him today - and everyone who is worrying about him!

Love Jules xx

I'm glad your DIL loved her card Kate, and the glittery texture paste looks beautiful. I thought I would mention that and talk about this card for Alistair's brother which with the sun's rays and the great sentiment is just perfect to wish him luck for his chemo. I hope that it isn't as bad as he fears, and it means a better outcome so I wish him well. It was awful to hear about the climbers and it is obvious that climbing gets in the blood. I like you cannot imagine doing something like that this time of year, well, not having an adventurous nature I cannot imagine doing this sort of thing at all...lol. x
