Hello Everyone, how are you all today?, well I hope and enjoying your day. We have a bit of sunshine, but this morning when I let Teallach in at 5.30, it was 4 degrees, definitely getting much cooler, the first of September is officially the first day of Autumn.
Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate every one of them, and not just about the card, but the little responses to whatever I've been taking about, I know it takes time and it's great that you find it to visit me.
My card today shows one of Aurora Wings new images, Hummingbird Sprite;
Isn't this just an adorable image.... I'm not really into doing cute images, but I have to say I do love Aurora Wings little Sprites. I've used watercolours, a mixture of Cotman and the new Aletnew paints. Yes, I've been treating myself and I bought these as the colours are wonderful, and most quite different to what I already have. I believe that the paints match their inks and markers.
The paper is a First Edition First Blooms and I've used card to co ordinate with the colours I've used.
My little flowers are the nearest ones I have to Fuchsias, some purple ribbon and a lovely pearl embellishment the my lovely friend Mrs. Duck gifted to me. Load of glitter on the Sprite's wings, and a few tiny pearls.
Now I have a question that maybe some of ladies who use digital stamps might know. Is there a way around the printer ink staying in place when using wet medium? I tried to be careful, but some of the ink moved. I would think it would be much the same with markers. So if anyone has a suggestion I would love to hear it.
Right then, that's me for now, we are going for a wee walk and then a bit of lunch, so take care of yourselves and see you soon,

What a sweet image...just love your colouring...a great card...
We have a lovely sunny day today but it is chilly as you say autumn is here.....
I have never solved the digi stamp ink problem ...I have even tried clear embossing powder to see if I could set it...dried with a heat gun and left overnight...none of them worked I gave up on digi because of the smudging and bleeding ..I have been advised not to go right up to the edges but that looked awful....hope someone out there has an answer for you....take care xxxx
A gorgeous card Kate, she is so cute.

Beautiful sprite Kate, looks gorgeous coloured the same as the fuschia, I use alcohol markers with my printed digis with no problems or bleeding.
Beautiful card, Kate. I love Aurora's sprites, too. Great colouring and a perfect paper. Kisses, my friend.
That's such a cute image and I like that you chose to do quite a simple card... she is quite rightly the centre of attention!
The only tips I can offer re the digital stamps is to print on a draft or economy setting so less ink is laid down, and someone also told me to spray the image with cheap hairspray which sets the ink. I don't tend to use watercolours but they are worth a try!

Qué hermosura!!! Felicidades por ello. Besos y feliz fin de semana.
Adorable card, this sprite looks wonderfully and I can't see smudges, you coloured it perfectly and love the design and embellies :)
To me Digi stamps home-printed works only with alcohol markers, but only if I stamp on heavy cardstock and let dry overnight...
This is so sweet and beautiful!! What an adorable image!! I love the colors and the pretty design!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

Beautiful card. I use watercolour card for printing digital images and leave it overnight to dry before painting. It works most of the time for me.
This is really sweet. I love the little sprite and the colours are really nice. I never use digi images so I can't help you at all but I hope you get some answers
A gorgeous Sprite, gorgeous colours. Marlene
Gorgeous card and colours Kate I used to print mine in greyscale but then I changed printers because it started smudging all the time I got a Canon Pixma and it's great for markers not sure about water colours though hugs Sue xxx
This is so cute, lovely colours. I use Copics and they work perfectly with digis, no problems with the ink.
Such a beautiful and pretty card with gorgeous colours.
I don't do digi' so I am no help to you but I have been intrigued at the answers your blog friends have helpfully given you and will file them away for when I do do digi's x
Love my collection of sprites and this hummingbird sprite is just ADORABLE.. brilliant colours, love this Kate..x
Like you I am not into cute Kate but this is rather sweet and I am always up for anything pink and this is a really girly creation. Afraid I am of no help with the printing issues as apart from TL Charisma which don't need colouring I rarely use digital images.

Lovely fairy card, beautiful with those colours.
Four degrees oh please don’t send it down south yet I would love this warm weather to last a bit longer.
Hi Kate,
oh how adorable is that image and you have coloured it so beautifully.
Love your wonderful design and the gorgous fuchsias.
The flower arrangment in the corner sets it off perfectly.
Now when I use digi images I usually wait quite a few days after they are printed before colouring, and maybe the longer you can wait to colour give the ink time to really dry out.
There is also a thing called print magic that Debbie Moore does like an embossing powder, and I wonder if that would work with digi images and colouring.
If I use alchol markers I always print on card made specially for them maybe there is something out there of a similar thing for watercolouring as someone suggessted water colour card, and perhaps leave it for a few days before colouring.
I know some inks from certain printers do quite often smear, and I think it's the Epson inks that do that.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
This is so.....sweet Kate, I love the cute image and the colours you have chosen are just perfect. All the little embellishments are just the icing on the cake. Have a wonderful weekend Kate.
Love & Hugs Jennifer xx.
Hola Kate!
Absolute sweetness and beautiful coloring. She is adorable.
I have not had any trouble with bleeding printer ink on digis , but seldom
use water or water base markers, so that is probably the problem. Hope someone can help you.
Hugs
Sue
So lovely...great colouring and cute image.

4 degrees already!!!! Oh my you need your woolley socks on now Kate! Super card with lovely colours Zoe x
Hi Kate, Just popping in quickly. Will have a full catch up soon. I spotted this little beauty in my reader and had to call in. Absolutely gorgeous!!! So adorable. Haven't read the comments about the printer ink so someone may have already said this. I used to use a fixing spray on digi images. I would print them out and then use a fixing spray before I coloured them. This seemed to hold the ink in place ok. Hope this helps. Drop me an email if you want to chat about it.
Hugs Flo xx
This is soo beautiful Kate! I haven't read everyone elses answers so someone might have already suggested this for you.
I used to have to use digital stamps when on previous design teams and I found that changing the print settings used to help when I wanted to watercolour a digital image. I made the black lighter, so I used to change the properties setting in print to draft and then printed the image and then watercoloured.
Another thing I did was if I was quick I could use an embossing powder over the ink and then I would heat set it before colouring with watercolours. I did use an anti-static pad on the card before stamping and would sit at the printer with my embossing powder ready to tip out and a piece of paper to tip the embossing powder onto. Hope that helps huni Karen xx
Hi Kate
Such a fab card. The colours are so vibrant.
Glad you could make use of the embellishments.
As you can guess, I also have the New Bloom papers lol!!!
