Christmas Baking for the CCC!

Hello to Everyone, I hope you are managing to keep safe, warm and cosy in this snowy and icy weather. We still have a lot of the white stuff and even although the sun is shining it's not melting the snow, and our street is like a skating rink, makes staying home easy.

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last card and commiserations regarding my tooth, the temporary filling is still holding.

Anyway, I'm here with a post for the latest Christmas Card Club Challenge and this time it's the turn of Maureen to choose the theme and she wants to see Christmas Baking. I thought that once again it would be Anything Goes for me as I didn't think I had anything suitable, but then I found this little LOTV image;
Now not only is the little guy cooking the turkey but, he's already baked the Christmas Pudding. I've coloured the image with SN Colourblend Pencils and the papers are form a pad given to me by my lovely friend Mrs. Duck, The sentiment and tag another gift, this time from Rita another dear friend, the stars I bought a wee while ago and they are from X Cut. The whole card has turned out not too badly and I hope it will do Maureen.

I enjoyed making this card and using a stamp that I've had for a long time, so thank you Maureen for your choice.

Remember to pop into the other CCC ladies' blogs and see what they have made, names on my side bar, and if you would like to join us and get ahead with your card making for Christmas, just get in touch with me or any of the others and we will give you the information.

Scheduling this post for tomorrow when the challenge goes live.
Enjoy your evening and see you all soon,

Great take on the baking theme. We do indeed bake a turkey and the pudding is an added bonus! This is a lovely image...I always like their work, and yours is lovely too, of course.
Sorry to hear you have icy roads. I like to stay tucked up at home when it is icy...when the roads are slick with ice i make my daughter drive up and pick me up to babysit the kids. It is only 6 doors to her house but it is down hill. Don't want to fall onto my behind!!!

This is soooo sweet. Hope he didn't drop the turkey.! My friend did just that once after having a glass or two too many whilst cooking the said dinner. They had that kitchen carpet that was all the rage back in the 1980's and the fat from the pan plus the turkey ruined it. They had no choice but to rip it all up! hugs Mrs A.

And I bet the mince pies are on the table in the background Kate - well at least the crumbs!!! This is such a cute Christmas card and you can never start on them too early in my opinion. Love your colouring and the traffic light gems are great with the papers and stars!!! Hugs to you and yours (plus a purr from Biscuit for Teallach) Sue Pxxx

This is a super card Kate - I struggled initially with the theme but when I opened up some older drawers the stamps came flowing!!! I don't think I have ever seen the stamp you used....your card is lovely. Take care in that snow...its not been too bad here - Friday made for an interesting run with icy patches but I am hoping that things are better for my run tomorrow! Big hugs rachel xx

You scored the baking big time, with the figgy pudding AND the turkey. This is such a cute image, and your pencil coloring is just so well done. Love the great red plaid combined with the tiny holly pattern. The filigree gold stars added the perfect touch of bling as did the sparkle jewels in the corner. Love that little doggie waiting for his share! TFS & Hugs (glad the tooth is holding up. )
