Floral Delights!

Hello Everyone, I hope all is well with you, but if not sending you kind thoughts that you will feel better soon.

Well we have snow again, not lying in lower areas though, thankfully, and it's turning to sleet now, it's been a stay at home day for me.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last card, I do appreciate the time it takes to visit and we are all busy, even if you're doing nothing as the song goes.

I have a little Chocolate Baroque card today,

I've used one of the CB latest stamps called Floral Delight and coloured it with Gansi Tambi water colours from Kuretaki, which are the most fabulous paints. There is a bit of SN Sparkle Pen on the image too. The words are part of the stamp, I've added a few sequins. The beautiful background papers are CB too designed by Lesley.

The base card is embossed with one of John Next Door's EF.. Confetti, then cut an aperture to make a window and I added a little DI to the embossed part, added a few gems and that's that.
I have to say that the new stamps from Chocolate Baroque are really lovely, especially if you like colouring in, and you can purchase them here.

Alistair had some sad news the other day, a friend of one of his friends and that he knew, died on Lochnagar, which is a mountain. He had been missing for a couple of days and although he had managed to get a couple of phone messages to Mountain Rescue, the weather was so bad that they couldn't find him, there was three rescue teams out but were beaten back and had to give up until the weather calmed down. John was only in his 60s and an experienced climber and well equipped, but he had diabetes, so that may well have been a contributing factor. Nevertheless, it's a sad loss and our friend has known him from the age of 14  so it's hitting him hard, and Alistair had shared a few climbs with him. It just goes to show that even the experienced can get caught out.

So, that's me for today, tomorrow we are going to see 3 Bill Boards in the cinema, it's supposed to be very good.

Have a good evening and see you soon,

Your card is lovely. I might have to take a look at CB, but with my CC locked firmly away.

Very sorry to learn of the loss of an adventuring friend. Always a shock to lose a good pal, and yes, nature can be so unforgiving. I love your card, what a lovely spring image, and your gansai w/c is gorgeous. I like the swirls under the flowers, didn't know if that was part of the beautiful stamp or your own creativity at play. I really like the embossing on the frame around the aperture, and what a stunner you've created with the new set. TFS & Hugs. Stay warm and cozy while the snow hangs around.

Absolutely gorgeous card!! Love how you created a window, and the embossing pattern is so beautiful around the frame. The image is stunning, and that background is completely magical!!

So sorry to hear about your loss. We lost a friend in a scuba diving accident while on vacation last year. Similar situation with rescue teams just arriving too late because of bad conditions. It's a hard pill to swallow. I'm sending my wishes to you and to his family. hugs :)

Another beautiful card Kate. I am having to sit on my fingers rights now as there are so many lovely new stamps but I've purchased some other supplies as I really needed those, but you are sorely tempting me with these beautiful CB stamps. Sorry to hear about your friend hun, it's a very young age for someone these days and I'm not surprised it's hit your hubby hard. Keep well sweet lady xx
