North Star or Stars for the CCC!

Good Morning to Everyone, hoping all is well with you and that your weekend is going well, mine is a quiet one and pleased enough with that.

I'm still without my laptop, it's had to cleared of everything and then data put back on. A major Windows 10 updated needed installing, which for some reason was being prevented, all a mystery to me I'm afraid, but I should have the machine back tomorrow.
Now this means that I can't link up to the CCC blog with this weeks  challenge, but at least I can post on here.

So,this time around its Maureen who has chosen the theme and it's to be Stars and the North Star if you can, here's what I've managed;

The first card is made with one of the wonderful Imagination Crafts stencils and painted with Starlights.
The Peace sentiment is from a First Editions die.
Second card uses a Sue Wilson dies and again coloured with Starlights, mounted on to a lovely EF from Sara  Davis, which has been brushed over with  Creative Expressions Gilding Polish in red, the sentiment is the negative of the one on the first card.

Hopefully I've managed to meet the challenge Maureen, I enjoyed doing them, as it made me use a couple of DL base cards. So thank you Maureen.

Thanks too for your visits and lovely comments, I do appreciate every one of them.
Please have a look at what the other CCC ladies create, they are always marvellous.
Have a lovely Sunday and see you soon.
Hugs Kate x  ðŸ˜‰

Two fabulous cards Kate, both different but both equally as lovely. A lot of beautiful new dies have been used in the making of our cards for this challenge which I don't have and now I feel the need to expand my stash! Not good for the piggy bank, lol.

These are both really beautiful cards, kat. The first has a peaceful look to it! The shimmer is so lovely.

The second is my fave as I now want to rush out and get that Sue Wilson die!!!
It is gorgeous. You have used a lovely design and I just have to ask...what is a DL card?

Good luck with your repaired computer...always a bit scary when repairs must be done, and hopefully no lost data. Both of these are lovely. Your stenciling on #1 is perfection, and I love the traditional colors & happy festive design. Love your idea of the dry embossed panel, and overlay of the wonderful SW die shape. Very classy and I think you met Maureen's stars challenge just excellently! Good for you with 2 cards!!! Hugs & TFS

Hi hope you had a good weekend. Love your cards today. Strange how we rely on our computers nowadays. Not so long that we did not have the internet.

Love the 2nd card the most.

Thanks for popping over to see me. x

These Imagination Craft Starlight paints seem to be very versatile and you have made a wonderful job of stencilling with them on the first and than colouring a die cut with them on the second Kate. What a great idea to use the positive and negative of the die cut sentiment too. Two beautiful cards. x

Wow, these are beautiful Kate! I love the fun colours and the glittery elements on the first one, but I think the second has stolen the spotlight for me. The gold is just so elegant and I love the flourish in the background! Two wonderful star creations!

Computer problems, I'm familiar! Just before Christmas, both of our computers crashed, within a couple of days of each other. What a nightmare! I feel very lucky that I keep back up drives of all of my photographs and important stuff, or that would have been a disaster! Hope you get it all sorted soon, I know how lost I felt without mine! hugs :)

Hi Kate, I love the cards! Imagination make such gorgeous stencils, don't they? And the Starlights are amazing. Sue Wilson makes such intricate dies, and you've really done it justice. Hugs, Shaz XxX
