Hats, Scarves and Gloves for the Christmas Card Club!

Hello Everyone, hoping your weekend is going well and that you are having some lovely weather.
I know some of you are at Ally Pally this weekend, you lucky things you, so I hope you all have a fab time and spend lots.  I'll have to make do with Hochanda as they are broadcasting some live demonstrations.

Time again for the Ladies from the CCC to share their creations and guess what....it's my turn to choose the theme. After giving this some thought and failed to come up with anything, I asked my hubby Alistair what I could do and it was him who came up with Hats, Scarves and Gloves, so if you're having problems, blame him. However I'm sure you will all manage something, it doesn't have to be all of them  and you are all very creative and resourceful.

I've made three, just cos I could;
Now I just love this fun stamp from LC, such smart Snowmen with their Top Hats, coloured with watercolour paints.
All of these stamps are from a free set from Creative Stamping Magazine a year or so ago, and were just perfect for the challenge, adding the heart embellishment to suggest a warm heart to go along wit the other thing that give one warmth in the Winter days.
Once again these images are from Creative Stamping Magazine even more years ago. Decided to make a little sledging scene to go with the sledging boy and girl, watercolour paints for colouring.
The Stag image is by Inkylicious and background inked up with DI.
There is loads of sparkle but sadly not showing up in the photos.
I was on a roll with this and was so pleased Alistair suggested it, and anyway I love these garments in the winter, well actually I'll be pulling the gloves out shortly, I hate cold hands.

So there we are I hope the CCC Ladies enjoy the challenge. Pleased visit their blogs as there will be fabulous cards to see.

Scheduling this post to go live tomorrow.

I have most of the weekend to myself as Alistair is away climbing An Teallach (the mountain my lovely puss is named after), as our friend Cath is completing her last Munro, and traditionally all like minded friend climb the mountain with her, then there is a hoolie in the local hotel in the evening, and Alistair and his little band are providing the entertainment.
I don't do mountains any longer, heck I don't even like climbing stairs, so opted out and I didn't have a car to get me to the hotel for the evening, as it's away on the wilds. But I'm there in spirit.

Thank you all so much for you lovely comments on my last card and "the hoodie"

See you all soon,

Three terrific cards Kate. I couldn't choose a favourite. I hope Alistair and his friends are having a great time. John really misses his mountains so much! Take care and enjoy your time alone - I actually enjoy being on my own at times so it is no hardship for me when John goes out ... lol! Hugs Christine xx

Three beautiful cards for your theme Kate, I love them all. As I've been away this last week I plumbed for an easy decoupage image for my card last night.
I hope Alistair has a safe climb and you enjoy your 'me' time too.

Three lovely and completely different Christmas cards. Looks like you've been having a fun time crafting Kate. The scene on the top card is so sweet and I really like the scene that you've created on the third card, it's right up my street and I love the expressions on the children's faces. Thank you for the lovely comment that you left on my blog Kate, I really appreciate your visits. Take care and have a lovely week, Sandra x

Three wonderful cards, KAte.
My fave is the middle one, although they are all lovely! Lots of sparkle and cute images on your trio.
This was a fun theme...I should have thought to make two cards , one with hats and one with gloves! Instead I had to resort to stickers! lol

Oh my, not one but THREE! Each is so pretty, and did you ever do the hats & mittens theme on each one. Thanks to Alistair for the challenge theme, as it did have me searching for something suitable. (thanks to Sylvie I had some LOTV). It was a fun theme, and I love each of your cards too. Enjoyed reading about the 'hoolie', which I must guess is a celebration...hope A. has a good climbing adventure. I'm with you, I'd stay home and off the slopes too. Enjoy your 'me' time, and watching the craft channels. Big hugs & have a great week. TFS

Hi Kate
A wonderful festive trio. You do love your snowmen. Great theme to pick for the challenge too.
At least you have your own Teallach but without the crampons and carabiners lol!
Enjoy the peace with puss.

Hi Kate, three super Christmas cards, love the theme that hubby picked for you, just perfect for a wintery card. All three cards are super and very festive. Love your water coloured snowmen and the wee bit of plaid/tartan behind.
I don't blame you opting out of the climbing, I'd rather stay in the warm and craft too.

Hugs Erika. x

Apologies Kate for being so woefully late. I'm posted now. We went a way for a few days and didn't get back till last night and I hadn't time to do anything before we left. Quickly made my cards up last night and then had to wait till this morning to get any decent photos. Then the rest of the day conspired against me. I need another holiday now! All your cards are perfect examples. Perhaps we can get Alastair to set all the themes for next year for us! Lol.
Hugs Mrs A.
