Cute for the Christmas Card Club!

Another fortnight over and time for another share from the Christmas Card Club girls, half way through the year , who would believe it!!

Anyway, how are you all, enjoying your Sunday I hope.  We have had a glorious sunny and warm morning, that took us to Fortrose and Rosemarkie on the Black Isle, and the plan was to watch for dolphins, but as it was such a lovely day the world and his wife were all out looking for parking places, we had not luck in find one where we would be likely to see there fabulous creatures if they happened to be playing in the water. We moved around to Fortrose and sat and read for a wee while enjoying the warmth of the sun, but guess what, it's bucketing down now. Oh well that's Scottish weather.

So here are my cards, yes I've got three this week, and the theme was chosen by Sylvie and she wanted Cute;
Well I think these kittens are super cute, from a Joanna Sheen CD, I think it's called Nostalgia, and a Signature stockings die.
Of course easily recognisable LOTV gorgeous penguins, coloured with SN pens and Silent Night papers from First Edition.
Finally, and I've been dying to use this stamp from Papermania, a cute little snowman whom you can lay all the blame on, stamped on to Desert Storm card from CC. Having stamped the image I thought well the snowman is now beige, not a good look, so I stamped again on white cards and paper pieced him, then a few little embellishments and job done.

It's been ages since I used paper on my cards, but this challenge had me only only using some but also using some older stash, so thank you Sylvie for this challenge really enjoyed it.

Do have a look at the other team members as they always have fabulous cards.

Before I go, just wanted to day thank you for all the lovely comments on my last card, you are all so kind and a warm welcome to Cheryl who is my latest Follower, thank you Cheryl for choosing to click the button, I hope you will be back again and that you continue to like what I make.

I had another new commenter a few posts ago whom I forgot to say hello to, Maureen Killin, now Maureen I've tried to find your blog to return the visit, but I think you might not have one, although you are on Circles, which unfortunately I just don't understand the mechanics of, but I do appreciate your visits and comments and hope you come back to see that I've not ignored you.

How's this for daftness, should make you smile..... thought I'd lost my phone the other day, turned my bag inside out, down sofa and chair cushions, upstairs in all rooms and downstairs, outside in garden. Came to the conclusion that I'd left it whilst over at Damian's house when I went to see Milo, hoping that the puppy hadn't found it and demolished it.  Phoned Damian when he was home from work, who looked all over without luck, I know mum he says, I'll phone the number and if it's here I'll find it. Then I hear the theme music for Game of Thrones, yeah I'm sad, saying to Damian I hear it, where is it, not here comes back the reply. The phone was plugged in to recharge and sitting on the arm of the sofa.... in my home. That was a real serious senior moment which my son thought was hilarious, I just thought I wonder where my brain had gone, I had no recollection of plugging the phone in.

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Well Sylvie asked for cute and dhe got cute - multiplied by three!! And all great cards Kate. I often lose my phone so now, after looking in the obvious places, I just pick up the landline, press the button for my mobile and follow the sound!! Works every time. Hugs Christine xx

Well what a lot of cuteness. I love the snowman sentiment and cute little snowman. Not just Scottish weather we have sun, then a wuick downpour most days at the moment.

Three beauties Kate but I keep going back to the first one, I just love the colour palette. As Marianne said, so many showers here in East Anglia, more like April.

Not one, but 3 cute & adorable cards. Love the tiny die cut stockings with the cute kitties. The penguins, equally cute with some lovely coloring work. Like that card layout too...icy feeling on this one! And love the snow banner on #3, and some good paper piecing idea. How nifty that you were able to use up some VOS (very old stuff - Mo's terminology..isn't it great?). Good work on all 3. I can't do the Plus circles either (had a problem when I tried, and some savvy person explained how to cancel out of Plus). So hopefully your new friend will visit just the same. Enjoyed hearing about your outing, sorry you missed the dolphins. They are such fun to watch them cavort & splash. Hope the rain has eased up and you had a lovely Sunday. TFS & Hugs

lovely cards Kate - really great and so good to get three more for your christmas stash. Your phone story made me laugh - I am always misplacing mine - worse thing is its usually on vibrate so when I ring it to try to locate it I have to listen really hard!!! And I'm only 48!!!! I think I need help lol! Hugs rachel x

three stunning cards Kate , love the cute kittens with their stockings for Santa, and the penguin peeking out of the igloo, and the sentiment blaming the snowman, that would be great for any of the males in my family they never take responsibility for what they bought it is always that someone else fancied it.

It,s my glasses that I lose, don't need them for reading or whilst using the computer or doing any close work I do sometimes use them for the tv but not always, usually can't remember where or when I last had them so have to retrace my steps. Don't use my mobile whilst st home but the boys insist on calling it, eldest son sent a text telling me that a mobile was a portable device once. Can't win Hugs Meg xx

You were asked to do "cute" ... you have done SUPER cute and I love them all.
We had beautiful sunshine here this morning. Did some gardening, not my first love but I was
helping John. By the time mid afternoon came it was bucketing rain.
KATE:- Maureen Killen does not have a Blog but she does love looking at your makes. She's a friend of
Hazel and I and is real sweetie, you'd love her.
Now as to the phone .... Mmmmm!!! well ... but it did make me laugh.
Me!! I hunted the house the other evening for my glasses ... they were on my "face"!!!
Now that's what I call a real serious "senior moment"

Hi Kate,
3 wonderful designed cards for your Christmas club.
Yes they are sure cute.
The stamp on the last is a wonderful one to own.
Don't worry I think most of us are suffering from Senior Moments now and again.
I quite often can't remember something I have done 5 mins ago.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Kate I had to laugh about your phone, I do that all the time. My favourite just now is walking into a room and forgetting why I went in. I have to leave and walk away then go back before I remember. I'm losing it!! Whatever "it" may be.
You are building up a lovely stock of Christmas cards, all of them are lovely. The kittens look so cute and snuggly. The penguins look like they're having fun. I love the snowman sentiment, it made me smile.
I like Rosemarkie we've stayed there when we had the caravan. The site is right on the beach.

Hugs Erika. x

Three great cards! They all have that cuteness factor, that is for sure. I think my fave is the first (although I love them all).
Just keep being drawn to the first cuz I love those non traditional colours used there.

Hi Kate

Three really lovely and cute Christmas cards. Yep, like you I can't believe we are half way through the year already!! Doesn't seem two minutes since last Christmas.

The hunt for your phone made me smile. I am often asking my hubby to ring my phone .. .. and it is always somewhere in my craft pod. Sometimes hidden under a pile of papers or card and sometimes shut away in a drawer!!! LOL!!!

Hope you are having a good week.

Love Jules xx
