Snowmen for the Christmas Card Club!

Well Hello to you all, I hope you're all well and enjoying your weekend. I'm scheduling this post for Sunday, so writing it on Saturday, where I'm feeling the effects of my Indian meal from last night.
We had a lovely evening with Damian and Moreen at this new little eatery just along the road from us, the food was beautiful and the decor too, but Indian food doesn't sit well with me, I think it's the rich sauces that's the problem, however, I just sacrifice my digestive system for a day.
It's a lovely bright but cold morning here, it might rain later though, the sky is a bit cloudy, but as I'm not planning on going anywhere I'm not bothered.

We had six little boys come in to entertain us last night before we went out, all dressed up for Halloween, and they were ever so funny, with jokes that have been on the go since before the ark. They had a sort of tape recorder with a pop song that neither of us knew and the mimed and danced to that, they were hilarious.  Alistair started to tell them jokes which I'm sure they were trying to remember to use themselves, and when they had their treats and going away, they all handed us some of their sweetie.  How sweet was that, so I guess they thought we had done our party piece too.

Now for a bit of sad news, my orchid which I've been nurturing so carefully and was going to photograph and show, was pushed off the windowsill last night and the three lovely flowers have broken off. Damian gave me this for Mother's Day a couple of years ago and I was so pleased that I managed not to kill it and that it was blooming again. It does have other buds on it, but it would have looked gorgeous. Teallach didn't look the least bit guilty.
Anyhow on to my card for the friendly CCC chosen this time around by Lorraine
The theme is Snowmen of man in this case.  I've used one of the stamps from last months LC Club Stamps, coloured with Sectrum Noir Pens and Wink of Stella in Silver. paper came along with the club stamps as did the sentiment and ribbon, Tonic Snowflake punch, gems and Star Dust.

So Thank you Lorraine for a lovely challenge, I adore Snowmen, so this was an easy one for me.

Enyoy your week end and Keep well everyone, and thanks for visiting.

Hi Kate oh dear what a shame about your Orchid, I often wonder if cats could speak what they would say? Who would he try to blame?? Your card is lovely what a wonderful image of a snowman and love the pretty bow. Susan x

Good morning Kate love the soft colours in your card, the dimension in the bauble the snowman is holding is wonderful, and your bow beautiful, sorry about the orchid I'm afraid I don't have much luck with them, hope it recovers.

Hi Kate, this is soo cute, just love the image and colours. I love Christmas cards.
I enjoy seeing the kids come round on Halloween as it's my birthday and it adds that special touch, apart from the window being egged it was quite enjoyable.

this is fabulous Kate - I love this set of stamps from LC. Sounds like you had some spectacular trick or treats ... it was much more low key here!!! Big hugs to you! Rachel x

Oh Kate your orchid - that is rotten! I love those flowers and have four plants on one window as they thrive there. They are the only plants that have done well and flowered again and we think it's because I forget to take care of them much. Plants don't do well here either I forget or it's too warm in the house for them. I hope you can manage to save it.
Your card is lovely!
We all have enjoyed this challenge very much! Hope you have a good week Karen x

Hi Kate, Your snowman is delightfully jolly, and marvelous coloring. Loved the color scheme you chose too. Don't you just love those WoS pens? So much sparkle. Liked the dimension I see on the tiny ornament in his mitten too. Pretty layout. Enjoyed reading about your Halloween visitors, and hope your Indian meal has settled a bit by now. I like the few samples I've had of that particular ethnic food range, but don't get much chance to have it. Not real big in S.Carolina!!! I love to try different regional foods - as long as it's not burny. Hope your new buddy will feel a bit sad about his mishap with your orchid, and perhaps not have another mishap of this type. TFS & Hugs.

I love snowmen too and yours is the sweetest! Love the colors and the whole card is lovely

I never even saw a child in a costume out my window this year. Was raining and cold and it seems everyone went out and turned all their lights out! Sounds like your little fellows were quite entertaining.

That is a lovely stamp Kate - and you've made a beautiful card with it. Love the shades of blue.

Sorry about your orchid, I've often wondered how our fur babies manage to make it look as if we are the guilty ones for putting objects in their way!

Hugs to you Sue Pxxx
