A Cosy Christmas for CCC!

Hello Crafting Buddies, how are you today? I hope well and enjoying your weekend.

We have had quite a nice day weather wise, so I meant getting around the town not being buffeted by wind and soaked with rain.

Alistair is feeling a bit better and thanks you all for the good wishes, I'm still snuffling a bit but otherwise I would say I'm over it.

I meant to mention to you that I am managing the non dairy really quite well, avoiding yeast is much more difficult as it is in just about everything.  However, I keep going and finding a difference in my system, I've also lost just over a stone in weight, which is a bonus, which in turn has meant that I have reduced my intake of insulin. So it's all good news, and having the challenge of finding alternatives for dairy is really very interesting and so is the researching of recipes.  Alistair, is also eating what I am, although he still eats dairy, and he has lost weight too, not that he was big, but he is pleased with himself.

So, enough of all that, I'm sharing my card for the CCC and it's our lovely Rachel's choice this time round and it's to make a card with texture, here is my effort;
I've used this beautiful Sheena Douglass stamp and coloured it white SN Pens and added Fluffy Stuff to the snow, it puffs up when heated but not showing up well in the photo. An embossed folder in the background, I thins it's Sara Davis for Crafters Companion.  Sorry it's not a good photo.

I'm scheduling this for tomorrow when the post goes live, so do visit all the other CCC members and see their fabulous creations.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my oldie yesterday. I do appreciated all of your kind words.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and the weekend, see you soon.

Great card Kate love the image and how you have coloured it.
Glad your both feeling better. Weather here is horrendous, blowing a gale and bucketing rain.
Think I will go bury my head in some Crafting.

So glad to hear your good news Kate -- I am going to have to read back a bit and see what your new diet is. The most exciting news is that you do not have to take as much insulin - now that's a good thing.

I would like to know what this building is - at first I though it was a church and then I decided no because there was no steeple - I do believe that it is an Anglican church because of the red doors. Whatever it is - I love it. Wouldn't it be wonderful to spend Christmas in your scene!

Good for you on the diet challenge. My DH has similar problems, and he's not done as well as you with the dairy or the gluten products. But he tries. Kudoes to you for keeping the discipline required. Love this pretty winter cottage, and the fluffy snow & pretty embossing really met the texture challenge just perfectly. Glad you are both feeling lots better. TFS

Morning Kate, good to hear you are on the mend and well done on the weight loss. I need to get back on the waggon again after Christmas but I don't have the incentive at all just now, I don't think the weather helps.

A lovely Christmas card, love the added snow and the sky line looks really effective.
Enjoy your Monday, hugs Erika. x

Hi Kate,
oh my word that was a big weight loss.
So glad all is well and you can lower your insulin intake that and the weight loss must be making you feel so much better.
Not sure if I could cope without dairy though even though I don't eat a great deal of it.
So glad you and hubby are on the mend.

Super card for your Christmas club.
That stamped image is coloured perfectly, and what a great design too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Kate, your card is just beautiful, love the snow effect you added. All of the best with the search for non dairy recipes. Sounds like a big chance in diet, but that you have it all under control. Hugs Anet x
