Lavinia Fairy!

Hello My Friends and Visitors of course, and welcome to my Blog, it's lovely to have you pop in and have a look and maybe leave a comment or two.  I do thoroughly appreciate each and every comment and the encouragement that you offer.

I hope that you are all well and enjoyed your weekend. It wasn't wonderful weather here but at least it wasn't too wet. On Saturday we went to Strathdon to visit friends, that took up most of the day but it was a very pleasant visit.  We got the information we wanted to enable us to go to London in October to see our friend's Art Exhibition.  He has been working for the last two years for this show and his work is fantastic and it was amazing to be to be able to see his work before anyone important does.
It will attract much attention as Philip Mould (he's on telly  with Fiona Bruce) at the moment and David Starkey the historian is doing the forward on Peter's book about the paintings.  Anyway, we might not manage to the opening night, as the great and the good have to be there and the gallery can only admit a certain amount, but we will view when it's quieter.  Alistair also wants to take me to The Globe Theatre, so it's all something to look forward to.

My card share today;
 Using a Lavinia stamp set, which came free last year with a magazine I've stamped on to one of Lavinia panels, the fairly, flowers, sentiment and stardust are all part of the set. Added lots of sparkle to the fairy's wings and the fairy dust.
The background is using another stamp by Lavinia stamped in Versafine ink.
I didn't think there was anything else needed, tell you what though, the fairy wasn't half difficult to cut out, anyway I hope you like her.

I finally got through the ironing this morning as it was taking over the spare bed, and the fact that I had kept on adding to it didn't help.

Well it's raining now, wet rain the kind that seeps through and really wets you, I had thought about a wee walk, but maybe rethink that and have a read insead. I've finished my friend's book and loved every bit of it and now can't wait for the final one in the trilogy, but that will be a year or so away I imagine.  I think I'll look for a murder now.
I hope your day is good where you are, and I'll see you soon. oh, and thanks for your kind words about my tree card.
I would like to enter into http://laviniastamps.com/blog/lavinia-stamps-challenge-7/

Super card Kate and lovely background. . I have the stamps and last year at Stoneleigh I bought some of the panels - never used !!!! Why do we do this? I bet there are thousands of pounds worth of crafting stash in peoples drawers and cupboards which have not seen the light of day since taken home. All these "must have" purchases!! Hugs Christine xx

Wow! Lots of glisten & sparkle on this little shadow fairy's wings. Such a beautiful card, and lucky you, a freebie Lavinia stamp! Sorry to hear about the wet weather..wish I could send you some of our hot sunshine (well it was 100F today, you prob'ly wouldn't want that much of it!). Sounds as though you have some exciting & glamorous adventures coming in the future. What fun...and now you won't have to fret about late nights and early mornings at a job! See????Glad you got the ironing caught up. Perhaps think about retiring the iron too? We did! (you wear it wrinkled or you don't go to whatever. Oh well, weddings & funerals, and if we can, we avoid both of those occasions. Hmm. but sometimes one can't. So the iron comes out of retirement...reluctantly! :-) TFS & Hugs

Hi Kate, love your design with the stamps here and I know what you mean about the cutting out - it can take forever! But it looks really effective so well worth doing. Thank you for joining in the Lavinia Challenge this month and good luck in the draw. Hellen (DT)

Good morning sweetie, I love this stamp you have made the back so magical, now I am going to need a fairy stamp :0) I had got in to a good habit of bringing the washing in and ironing after tea each night, but I have 3 days worth now so not looking forwards to it, I love ironing but my back is sore, if I could sit to do it I wouldn't mind, but these kids I am sure they take the clean clothes I put on their beds and stick them back in the wash, they wear heaps so I hear never ending story each time I put a wash on, lol hugs Pops x

Oh the ironing....it's been staring at me menacingly since February. I will not be bullied into submission... and so the impasse continues....LOL. This card is fab...I love Lavinia stamps. They're so magical, so special and you've done that little fairy proud. Great job, Kate.
