Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and keeping sane and not too frazzled in these last few days till Christmas.

I took myself into town this morning, just for a wander around, I'd nothing to get, just wanted to soak in the atmosphere kinda thing and to treat myself to an Eggnog Latte. Have to say, there wasn't a great deal of atmosphere, but I certainly enjoyed my latte.

This is my final post of this year, and it's to wish all of my Blogging Friends and Visitors a Very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays if that's your thing, and a Healthy, and Happy 2023.

Thank you for following me and leaving such lovely comments, so this card's for you.

Have a peaceful Festive Time, I'll see you in the New Year, keep safe

We're Walking in the Air!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are all well and not getting too stressed in this lead up to Christmas. I'm all sorted, just the fresh food needed and I'll do that on Friday. Parcels all wrapped, cards all posted or hand delivered.

We've had quite a bit of snow, but thankfully it's melting as the temperature has go up quite a bit, I hate when it gets all slushy, can still be quite dangerous when it freezes.

Anyway, my card today was made for my friend Fiona who loves The Snowman, and I make one every year for her,

Tried to delete the first image as I hadn't realised I hadn't turned it the right way, and now I can't delete it, anyway here it is the right way round. She loves it. I'm running out of ideas though.

The Choral Society had our Carolthon on Saturday, and our partner  charity this year is Mikeysline which is a mental health charity, started a few  years ago when there was almost no support for young people. The charity is names after a young man who took his life and sadly his friend too a short while later. This charity do excellent work and has grown to quiet a substantial support organisation.

We raised £1500 on the day and there will be more as the choir has sponsor sheets still to come in. It was good to get back doing the Carolthon after such a long time due to covid.

That's me for tonight, planning a quiet evening with a bit of knitting, you take care and see you soon,

Anything Goes for the CCC

Hello there from the frozen North, I hope you are all managing to say warm and cosy. Snow in Inverness didn't come to much thankfully, but very icy underfoot.

I'm here with the final Christmas Card Club card of the year, and hasn't the year gone by so quickly!!

Anything Goes is the challenge this time around, so here is what I've made,

When I saw this Card-io stamp I just had to have it as I thought it would make a super card for Alistair. Once again it's a combination of Card-io and Lavinia stamps, Elements ink, watercolour pencils and gel pens, little gems and the sentiments are from Lavinia Sentiment sheets.

Been busy today, putting the tree and decorations up, and Alistair put up new curtains, which when I brought them down discovered I'd bought the wrong type, pencil pleat instead of eyelet. So it was a quick dash to Dunelm to see if I could get them changed. I wanted to get material that Teallach can't get his claws into, he ruined the pair  taken down, so I wan'ted a smooth material rather than textured, if you know what I mean. He's a rascal, I really hoped that he would grow out of it, but no, he's ruined the stir carpet too. He does have a scratch post but won't use it, I quite despair of him at times.

Anyway, it's a feet up with a good book tonight, absolutely nothing I want to watch on the TV, Saturday nights are just awful now.

So, I'll get this post scheduled for tomorrow, please have a look at what my teammates create, they always have fabulous cards.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card.

Cheerio for now,

Birthday Wishes!

Hello Everyone, hoping you are keeping cosy in this cold weather. We are expecting snow here, could have a blanket of the stuff by the morning.

Well, I managed to get all my cards and parcels off today, a great sense of achievement lol.

I have a birthday card tonight to show you, made for a friend's husband,

Lavinia Greenman stamp, and a combination of DI and Elements ink. I've also used various Lavinia mini leaf stamps and Posca white pen.

This design was inspired by Emma Jo from Lavinia, she creates the most wonderful projects.

Well, that's me for now, time for a cuppa I think.

Keep yourselves cosy,

Christmas Tags!

Hello Everyone, another weekend, and I hope you are enjoying what you're doing, and that you are well and keeping cosy.

Been a dark day here, the rain kept away though so, I put towels out, but no drying, but least they got an airing.

I've spent the afternoon wrapping up gifts that have to be posted, I reckoned that with all the strike dates it would be sensible to get cracking with the wrapping and posting.  Ended up with an aching back though, so took my self off for a  wee walk to get rid of the cricks in my back and a bit of quiet time away from the footie.

Anyhoo, I've got some Christmas tags to show you today,

All sorts of stamps used, and a snowflake die from Crafters Companion. Crafting yarn from Lavinia Stamps.

I quite enjoyed making these, but they do take a bit of time.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last card, very much appreciated.

Well, that's me for now, have a lovely evening and I'll see you soon, take care,
