Hello Everyone, apologies for not being in Blogland for a wee while, just felt I needed to have a break from it.
Anyhoo, I do hope you are all well and enjoying life.
I have a Christmas card for you this evening,
The musical tree is a Sweet Poppy stamp, and all the other stamps are from Card-io, the sentiment is from the tree set.
Lavinia Elements Ink, blue mirror card, splatters and gel pens.
I made a huge blunder when trying to stamp the hare, trying to correct it was a bit of a hit and miss. I inked it up on the wrong side and was left with a huge black blob, gesso painted over it and then some olive elements ink, it's still noticeable, but did the best I could.
Thank you all for the lovely comments you leave, cheerio for now, take care

I wouldn't have noticed your boo-boo if you hadn't pointed it out, Kate! It's a wonderful ink-blended lyrical design! It's funny that you inked the wrong side of the stamp because I did that same thing just two days ago! Never happened before, but when it did, I thought it was amazing I don't do it all the time with the clear stamps! I couldn't save mine, but I never thought of putting gesso over it, so thank you for that tip. Hugs, Darnell
Cool project and love how you put your colours nicely together here... ♥
That is one super gorgeous musical tree image and so perfect for a Christmas card. I know what you mean about needing a break from blogland....I try to visit as many as I can but seems that I only have 1 day a week I can get out to them. Life gets busy and we all understand.
What a wonderful musical tree Kate and your collection of birds and animals go brilliantly. I think you made an excellent job of covering your mistake with gesso and just inking over it and I didn't notice it until I read your comment, I love the background colours and added falling snow too. I have inked the wrong side of a stamp a few times before but luckily realised before I stamped it, but it is easily done. Everybody needs a break now and again, and I think it gives us renewed enthusiasm. x
Lovely christmas card, I like the image a bit different from the usual ones,
Hope you are keeping well and the weather improves you seem to be getting all the rain, can you send just a little bit down here please.
Love your pretty Christmas card Kate. Hugs Anet
