Blue and Grey!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well, and life is being good to you. We are speeding through January, almost half way through now, but have you noticed the days are getting longer, closing the curtains at 5pm instead of 4pm, so we're moving on.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last cards, I always appreciate your visits and the kind comments.

I've spent a bit of time trying to make Damian's birthday card  today, which have ended up in the bin, both of them, so I'll have to start again, good job I've still got a bit of time, I'm just not really in the mood for card making ,and finding it difficult to think up ideas, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Anyway, I've got a page from Johanna's Christmas Colouring Book,

I used Caran d'Ache Luminance coloured pencils in shades of blue and grey, I wanted to keep to a monochrome pallet. I inked the corners with DI. I'm rather pleased with how this picture turned out. Here's the book it's from,

Well that's me for tonight, feet up and a watch of the TV, Alistair will make a cuppa in a wee while, he's a good soul. Cheerio for now,

Yes indeed Kate, lighter evenings most welcome but still seems really dark in the mornings. The tone on tone colouring of the Hare is a delight.

Beautiful design and beautifully coloured
Yes the nights are getting longer but we have had frost and fog the last few days not complaining I was sick of the rain rain and yet more rain
Have a good week, hope you can make the card or at least find an idea.

A super image and coloured beautifully as usual Kate. WE all go through that stage when we either don't know what to create, or we have the ideas which then don't translate onto the card stock. Just put it aside for a few days and I'm sure you will see it with fresh ideas in a wee while. (Oops! I'm sounding Scottish!) Hugs Christine xx

I love your blue monochrome Kate, it looks like a piece of Wedgewood, so beautiful.
As for the nights, we were talking about it today, isn't it wonderful and sun too? WOW Makes me feel good!
Take care.

How pretty in blue and grey and love the hare with holly and ivy wrapped round his ears. I know what you mean about sometimes finding the ideas don't come easy Kate, and as before Christmas is a busy time I think that it is sometimes difficut to get going in the new year. x
