Deer Tunnel Card!

Hello Everyone, how are you all doing, getting geared up for Christmas, however you'll spend it. All we have to do is buy some food, and I'll do that nearer the Big Day, it will be an early rise for M&S opening. I know exactly what I want and where it is, so hopefully a quick in and out.

we went for a wee walk the other day down to the University Campus where our lovely swan family live, now those of you who have followed me for a while will know that we have followed the swans for a few years and have been delighted by the yearly batch of new cygnets. This is the first time that the cygnets have remained with their parents for so long, they are full grown now, with very little grey feathers left. This is quite strange as the parents usually kick them out long before now. Anyway, wondering why this might be, I voiced to Hubby, that maybe this time around , just perhaps the parents really wanted to keep their young with them, for some reason best know to swans,  I couldn't for the life of me remember what the female swan was called, I know the male was Cob, so asking Hubby what the female was called he responded very quickly with Eileen. I live with a very humorous man, and I thought this was the funniest thing. I had to end up googling it to find that she is called Pen.

Anyhoo, we now refer to the lady swan as Eileen, Alistair hasn't yet given the Cob a name, and I think Eileen quite suits her, and besides it's given us a good laugh.

My card today is the lovely Magnes  die from Creation Crafts

Well the photography on this one is pants, too light, anyway, it is mostly  pale grey card with a back panel of a deeper grey, with WOW gold embossing powder on the filigree front panel. The moon in the background is Silver WOW EP. I've added lots of sparkle to the trees, which are also Carnation Crafts. This photo shows the layers of the dimension.

And of course Teallach in the background keeping watch out the window.

Well, that's me for today, I hope I've not bored you with my story, Keep well and keep safe and most of all keep smiling,

A stunning card Kate, a beautiful scene and lovely delicate frame.
We have a family of swans on the lake near our house and the cygnets are still with the parents as well, we thought perhaps they were a little late hatching but it seems late even if that was true - very strange.

Fabulous tunnel card. The colours are gorgeous. Managed to get a delivery slot albeit 27th Dec! I have food in the freezer and The Doc can always pop down to our local co-op who only allow 2 shoppers in at a time for milk and bread. I can only think that people are buying for their large family gatherings over christmas or worse still stocking up for the prospect of coming out of the EU in January with no deal. The government telling people not to stock pile food is like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey and telling it not to eat it. It doesn't work.
Hugs Mrs A.

I love your stories. When I was a child my parents used to teach me things like the males, females and young names of animals. I can’t imagine parents doing that now. Your card is beautiful and thank you for my card, made me smile.

Your tunnel card is stunning. Love the white and greys. The frame with the deer is just perfect. I really want to have a go at one of these. I loved your story Kate. You two always make me giggle. Eileen is a wonderful name. I think the wild life seems to behaving differently this year. Not sure if it is or if it is because we are spending more time watching it. It does make you wonder though. We've ordered a turkey for the 23rd. Hopefully they will have one but if not I have some sausages in the freezer! :) Sorry, for woffling. Take care, stay safe, Hugs Flo xx

A lovely dimensional creation Kate and so stylish in the white and just a hint of colour.

Your Swan story mad me smile, I actually saw some of our this morning as we have another vet emergency so passed the Ooose which is well over it's banks. Most of the Swans have now moved down to Welney which they always do about now, but there was still one pair, no sygnets, and another pair with two which are surprisingly dark still. Maybe Alister could come up with names for them?

Your card is so elegant and beautiful. I love the scene and the fancy die you used. Happy you are enjoying the swans. I know nothing about swans. It was interesting hearing about them. I like your husbands humorous answer.

This tunnel card is a beauty Kate and love the deer and trees and then the moon in the background, and the die cut front and back are so ornate and pretty. I smiled at your story about the swans and Eileen is a lovely name. I count swans as extra special for their faithfulness to one another, pairing for life. x
