Trees for CCC!

Hello One and All, how are you all today? Good I hope and enjoying the weekend.

We got back from our visit to Dale and Stewart and the Jazz Festival, last night, needless to say it's going to be a quiet Sunday. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the music was good, and had a really good catch up with all their news, however, it's good to be home.

A quick two weeks have passed by as it's time for the Christmas Card Club to show their latest creations and it's our lovely Christine that's our hostess and she has chosen Trees, one of my favourite sorts of images to make a card with and in fact I've made three and here they are;

Up first is an Inkylicous   image, Bare Trees, and  and it's been embossed in Wow Clear powder. The sentiment is also Inkylicious. A watercoloured background with  Altenew paints and lots of sparkle.

Another Inkylicious stamp, Winter Snow Pine, lots of sparkle on the trees and some grey watercolour to give shadows and an Inkylicious greeting. Mounted on to black and silver glitter card.

Final card and again Inkylicious, A Winters Tale stamp set. Now for some reason this is a pants photo, but I've started with a watercolour wash to make a wintry sky background and pretty much followed the the way the images are set out on the front of the packet of stamps and lots of glitter. I found a tree embossing folder and decided that I would use that as the background.

That's it Christine, it was a brilliant challenge as I love trees, so thank you.

I've not done any commenting while I was away, and if I was to try and catch up I'd be sitting for hours, so forgive me if I miss this last week. But thank you all for the lovely comments on my last card and the trinket box, and I'm pleased to say that Dale loved it, makes it all worth while.

Thankfully it's a fine day here so, I'm hoping all the washing will get dry. I could have sworn that I cleared the wash basket before we went away, so where this volume of washing has come from is a mystery.

Don't forget to comment on the other team member's card as they are always fabulous creations.

That's me for now, have a lovely Sunday and see you soon,

Three real beauties Kate, the hint of pink and added snow on the first is a great touch, the monochromatic one is very striking and the misty hues of teal and lilac on the third really lovely.

Three seems to be the magic number this time around Kate, I think many of us managed three cards this time. Perhaps it's just the fact that panic has set in knowing that we will be starting August soon - where has this first half of the year gone?! Anyhow, a fabulous set of three they are too, I love the different stamps and techniques you have used in them.

Two loads of washing here today which is now drying nicely in the garden. Also the dentist earlier where they recommended that I switch to an electric toothbrush whilst my shoulder is so painful. I got into the chair ok but then the assistant had to help me back out of it as
I have no leverage at the moment. Oh the joys of getting old. I think not.
Anyways your cards are all gorgeous and
I do like incurious stamps for their detailing. Glad you enjoyed your time away. Hugs Mrs A.

So pleased you had a lovely time with your friends and enjoyed the Jazz Festival Kate and also that your friend loved her gift. I love trees too though funnily enough I don't have many stamps with them on, must rectify that, and your cards are all beautiful. I particularly love the second as this sort of Christmas scene is what I love and these Inkylicious stamps work well on all three cards. I really must start to make some Christmas cards as I have not been able to find the time lately what with my other commitments. x

Three beautiful TREE cards and all so different and each lovely. I love the glittery goodness on them and being that it is hard to capture on the camera at times, these really showed how pretty they are.

Glad you had a good get away, and I know what you mean about the laundry!!!!

Hugs
Sue
