Hello Sunshine!

Gosh wall to wall sunshine for the UK, are you all surviving it?? Hello Everyone, I hope all is well with you and that you are managing to keep cool. Last night at 9 o'clock it was still 27 degrees, for goodness sake we live in the far North of Scotland, it shouldn't happen, lol.

Anyway, we are trying to keep cool and poor Teallach keeps looking for shady spots to lie in. I gave in this morning and finally did an ironing that's been sitting on the table for a week cos it's been, too hot to tackle, I just a glass of cold water beside me as I ironed.

As I'm typing this the Tour is on the TV and it's a mountain stage, so the scenery is amazing and there's little patches of snow on the peaks...just looking is making me feel cooler. It's 32 degrees in the valley where the cyclists are cycling, how do they manage???

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my CCC card, you are always so kind in your comments.

So I had cool, snowy cards for my last post, this one has going to the other end of the season spectrum with sunshine;
All Honeydoo products on this card. I coloured with Windsor and Newton watercolours and splattered with Gansi Tambi red gold paint. I love this new stencil from Honeydoo, and inked through with Oxides in Antique Linen, Fossilized Amber, and some sort of green that was on the brush....a happy accident and I rather like the effect of the three shades.
It's a lovely image to colour, and I love sunflowers, such a cheery flower. I treated myself to a bunch the other day.

That's me for now, it's time to rummage and find something for lunch, not all that hungry though, but have to have something for the insulin to work on, so I'll say cheerio for now, take care and keep cool,

Yes it was a very hot day yesterday, so hot that I didn't get any crafting done. Today is a lot cooler and a lovely breeze in the craft room. A gorgeous card, love the flowers, they make me smile.

Gorgeous card Kate. Beautifully coloured. Pleased you are having sunshine up in Scotland. Awww! poor Teallach! It is difficult for animals and birds to keep cool as well. I ran around yesterday making sure there was lots of water in the garden for the birds. I was thanked this morning. A wren and her babies came to visit me whilst I was having my coffee. They stayed for quite a while. Oh, they are so cute and tiny. Have a lovely weekend. Hugs Flo xx

A beautiful card Kate and I don't know what it is but there's something about sunflowers that makes me happy. Perhaps is their vibrant colour and the way that they turn towards the sun. It was still 31 degrees in our house on Thursday evening and I have to say that the cooler weather and all day rain has been very welcome today. Many thanks for your visit and kind words x

Fabulous sunflowers, lovely card
Yes we are hot and still hot, here in somerset. not much rain just a few showers here and there although Tuesday looks wet, my garden is crying out for rain, and hubby is fed up with watering, he’s only doing pots, tomatoes and runner beans so what he does not do is looking very very dried up. Hope you have cooler temps and that was not all the summer we are going to get.
