Tall Tree!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and enjoying your evening.

We have had rain, sleet and snow all day, nothing lying thankfully, but it's been a dreach  sort of day. I've not been over the door, not even to the dust bin. I had a lie in this morning....well that's not really quite correct, I had been up a 5 o'clock letting Teallach out, but had been awake from just after 1 o'clock this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. I finally dropped off about 7 and slept an hour when Teallach rattled the letterbox wanting back in. so once he was fed and played with, I went back to bed in the hope that I would get another couple of hours shut eye.  No such luck, but at least I was resting and enjoying my book. It's been a bit of a lazy day, but feel exhausted now. An early night is out of the question as Teallach would just come and get me to give him is supper and let him out, yes even although Alistair is there, the cat just by passes him. I've made a rod for my own back with this wee rascal, he's lying curled up on his chair looking as if butter wouldn't melt.

Anyway enough of my sleepless tales, thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last post, I do appreciate your visits.  Here is my card for today;
This tree image and verse is from Chocolate Baroque, Tall Trees stamp set, the little flowers in the bottom  corner are also CB, Teen Whiny Meadow Flowers, The bird are from Inkylicious. and an inky background, using several brands of ink, matted on to black card.

Alistair had just made a cuppa, so I'll away now and settle down to watch Shetland with it. Take care everyone and see you soon,

Oh dear on the daily weather and your missing sleep. Hope you shall do better tonight. Your kitty has you trained extremely well. I'd never heard the 'rod for my back' expression before. Lovely card, on that beautiful background. It is perfect for the wonderful tree imagery and that verse is just awesome. We should all keep that in mind. Hope your weather is better tomorrow too. Maybe these storms Europe and the USA are having just at the moment will be winter's last gasp. TFS &Hugs

What a stunning card Kate and it’s right up my street, as they say. The background colours and your blending of them is absolutely amazing. If I were Lesley Wharton, I’d be snapping you up for the CB Design Team! I really love silhouette stamping and this is, without a doubt, one of my favourite cards, I love it. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

Your card is beautiful Kate, very elegant and a lovely mix and match of different stamps.
I think you sometimes feel more tired when you've had a lazy day and not done much, does you good occasionally :o)

This is a beautiful crd, Kate. Loving the arty, inky background (just perfect for this scene) and the pretty stamps and words!

I am thinking that you must have a new series of Shetland to watch as we have not had any new ones for quite some time. We watch mostly British shows and loved Shetland when it was on here.

What a lovely stamp that is and beautiful verse too. I love how you create your serene backgrounds and although I've tried mine just don't turn out like this. A gorgeous card. Sorry I haven't commented much of late, I'm finding it very hard to find time for the computer lately.
