Follow That Star!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and getting ready to enjoy another weekend.
What a lovely day we've had up here, really warm and sunny, in fact just too hot to sit outside at one point, brilliant though for getting the towels out and dried.

It's going to be a busy weekend for us as we are preparing to go away for a few days next week, and I'm pretty excited as we are going to Coventry to visit Mrs Duck, otherwise known as Ang. Now if that wasn't exciting enough,  Christine Harrop will be travelling up or over.....no idea of the geography of where Oxford is in relation to Coventry, to meet up with us and have a lunch,  and just to top it all John Next Door, Mr Lockwood will be there too.  John I've never met, but a few years I met up with Ang and Christine when I was down at the Birmingham craft show and a lovely friendship started.
I had been hoping to get down to meet Ang again last year, but time ran away and didn't make it, but I was determined to get there this year,and it's just lovely that Alistair wanted to go with me, and of course Mr Duck will be there too, so Alistair won't feel out of it with all the crafty folk.  Ang and her hubby have some sightseeing planned for us.  A long journey from Inverness though and we will be off at crack of dawn, going by train, which is exciting too.  Train journeys always seem adventurous.

Anyway, I have managed a card;
I've used another Sheena Douglass EF on black  Centura Card and sanded it back, the sentiment is a Woodware one which I've been dying to use as I think it's brilliant.  I've added glitter just to accentuate parts of the scene.
The end result was not what was planned, but I wasted so much time, ink and paper I had to rethink.  I had been watching Sheena on Hochanda using this folder and it was all wonderfully coloured, I just couldn't remember how she did it, so this is what I ended up with.

Just before I go, want to thank you for your fabulous comments on my last card, you are all so kind. I'll be back on Sunday with my CCC  cards, till then take care and enjoy the weekend,

Hi Kate
Don't know what Sheena did but your looks fab. That sentiment is hilarious. Another craft chum managed to get a stamp with "Ho bloody Ho" on. If you can't laugh at Christmas, when can you lol?
We Ducks are very excited about next week.....now I remember why, lol!
