Floral Harmony!

Hello To Everyone, hoping you are all well, but sending out kind thoughts to those of you who are not so well or having difficult times.

Thank you too for all the lovely comments on my last card, I really do appreciate each and every one of them.

Friday has come around once again, always so fast for my liking, but there you go can's stop time.
We have no plans as such for the weekend, but I'm sure we will find something nice to do.
I'm back to rehearsals on Monday at the Choral Society learning new pieces for our concert in November. Alistair has found and signed up of fiddle lessons, something that he has been wanting to do for ages, so I'm pleased that he has found this for himself, the cat however wont be as he hates when Alistair gets the fiddle out... he doesn't mind the guitar, but the sound of the fiddle sends him under the table, and the sound isn't even in the same room. Poor Teallach.

So I have another Chocolate Baroque card for sharing;

One of CB's latest stamps Floral Harmony and I've coloured the flowers with SN Aqua pens and the background has been also coloured with the Aqua Pens and the  glycerin technique, sentiment is from CB Words of Comfort.
As I was aiming for a yellow and grey colour theme, I found an old Papermania paper pad with greyish flowers to use as a background. The image was matted on to yellow card.  SN Sparkle Pen used on the flowers.

I made this for a lovely friend who is not too well just now and I'm am pleased to say that she loved it, and that's all that matters isn't it......

Now what a pain this photo was to upload on to this page, I've spent a good couple of hours trying to do it.  I even asked Blogger for help, without success. I then got in contact with Blog Friend Marianne to see if she could help, and although the problem has never happened to her she offered something to try.  Meanwhile I thought I would try and do the whole post from my tablet, so I took a photo and would you believe it blogger uploaded it on to my post but,... wait for it, it was the wrong photo. I'm really in numpty mode today. I couldn't take another photo of the card I wanted as it had been posted off. Grrrr!!
Back to the drawing board, I went back to the PC and tried to upload again, it worked!. It was as if using my tablet somehow unlocked the problem, totally puzzled by the whole thing, but pleased I managed to get the photo up.
Sometimes Blogger can be such a pain in the proverbial.

Alistair is on the dinner tonight, so it's great to get a break from the cooking, and he's making home made oven chips and they are always delicious and crispy.
I'll say cheerio for now and see you soon, enjoy your weekend,

Great that Alistair has taken up the fiddle but poor Teallach x Such a gorgeous and pretty card. I love the colour combination of the grey and yellow and what a pretty flower stamp. Technology is a mystery to me...when it works it is marvellous and when it doesn't......!!!! Hope you enjoy your dinner tonight and enjoy the weekend x

Blogger has a mind and a life of it's own Kate and I don't think we'll ever fathom it out! I'm glad you eventually got it sorted because it really is a super stamp and coloured beautifully. Glad Alistair found his music lessons. Hugs Christine xx

A gorgeous card Kate, such a beautifully coloured image - so pretty.
I'm so pleased that you managed to get your photograph uploaded in the end - technology likes to play tricks on us sometimes doesn't it!
Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Kate,
what a very pretty card, and such a super sentiment.
Love the wonderful background you have created.

Did you try turning off your comuputer, as this works for me.
I had your prob once and that's what sorted it out.
Windows has a mind of it's own and plays up now and again.
So I always shut my computer down and then wait 30secs and open it up again and that always sorts it out.
Hope that helps you next time.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

You have coloured this yellow flower beautifully. It really stands out a treat from the rest of the card. I have that problem sometimes with a photo not uploading. I switch between google chrome and windows and then it will upload. Strange goings on. Hugs Mrs A.

Stunning colours on your card Kate, such a beautiful stamp too. Even though their challenges have ended I still love their stamps.
Thanks for posting the parcel I will let you know it's arrival. Be interesting how long it takes though I find things from the UK get here fairly quickly...so excited and graciously 'thank you'.
Now Kate, I had to chuckle as I read between the lines, and poor Alistair on the dinner tonight? Hope he tastes okay... but I am sure the chips will as they sound delicious, love mine crispy...
Enjoy your weekend and I find it scary that the time this year has flown bye so fast, wish we could stop time just for a few years to 'catch up' on things.xxx

I would give anything if my husband would cook but no - he helps me a lot but not with cooking. Art is building a kayak in the garage and had been taking photography classes which he has really enjoyed. I am tickled pink he has found some new interests.
I am not blogging or really commenting right now due to some health issues - will write you more about that later.
I know you will be glad to get back to rehearsals - you all are really good!!!!
Your card is lovely Kate but that is no surprise to me!!!

Hi Kate, such a pretty card, lovely colour choice, and I'm glad that your friend liked it. My daughter used to play the violin, so I know what you mean about the noise!!! I hope that Alistair improves, for everyone's sake. Take care, Judith xx

You're on a roll with your new stamps Kate and this is very prettily coloured and the soft background goes beautifully too. No wonder your friend loved it and I'm sure that pretty yellow will have cheered her up and brightened her day. x

Hi Kate
Sorry I'm behind. Don't know where the days have gone.
Have no idea what the glycerine technique is (except with faux leather)but your card looks terrific.
Hope your friend feels better soon.
I'm with T Boy and would be joining him under the table at the sound of a screeching fiddle lol!
Hope you enjoyed your chips.....something I'm missing on the low carb thing but it's worthwhile on the scales lol!
