Snowy Mountains, Skies, Sleighs!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and enjoying your weekend.
It's time once again for the Christmas Card Club ladies to share their fortnightly creations.
We are a group of Let's Get  Ahead For Christmas Cards Gals and believe me it makes all the difference when it comes time to be getting the cards all prepared.

We all get a turn of choosing the theme  and this time around it's mine, and what a muddle I got into with my choice.  Originally I chose skies and snowy mountains, but a while after I thought what a daft theme as I didn't have anything with skies , so I added sleighs and anything else that you'd use in the snow.  So ladies I'm sorry if you struggled with this challenge, but knowing how creative you all are I'm sure you will have found a way around it.

I went searching for a ski die and this is what I came up with;
Found this Signature die, coloured it up, made some snowy mountains, and added some branches and embossed with Wow Powder and added lots of Star Dust. For some reason I have not added a sentiment yet, perhaps because I can't think who on earth I'd send this one to.

Now you know that old adage of Sod's Law?  well I happened to open a Nicrane file that I've had for ages and here is what I found;
Skies!!! and a rather sweet image of children , I love the old fashioned look, I just glittered it all up and added a greeting and some gems.  I could have saved myself £7 if only I'd known I had this.

But I also found this in the same file and thought it would also do for a sweet  card
More little cuties glittered up, ribbon and some pearls.
Once again the photography is not brilliant, they are all awfully white/bright, so I hope you can pick the images up OK.

Do check out what the other ladies make as they are always fabulous.

Thank you for your visits and for the lovely comments on my previous cards.

See you soon,

Had a little chuckle reading your post today x The first card is very contemporary and it is really striking and would make a fantastic masculine card maybe? The other two cards are traditional and so very sweet x Thanks fro sharing x

Hi Kate,
wonderful cards as usual.
Love them all as they are so very different and wonderfully created.
Your first card with the skier is so unusual and gorgeously created .
Yes I think we can all relate to your experience, and end up kicking ourselves, but just think you wouldn't have made such a gorgeous card had you not bought that die.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Miss Kate! You came up with some wonderful scenes to fit your challenge theme. I love how you've created those mountains for your skier. And how delightful to see the vintage images on #2 and #3...Quite like the cards my family received when I was a little kid. You've done marvelously with your challenge. It did have me searching, as I totally missed that we could do some sleighs. Good thing, though, as it made me look through some old wooden things for stamps that I thought I had (and couldn't find either!). It is fun to sometimes have to 'think' about the theme!!! Hugs & TFS

I downloaded all the themes at the beginning of the year so didn't spot you had changed yours so just went with the snowy mountain's and skies. Fortunately I had a card front that fitted the bill perfectly. I love your vintage looking cards and I for one do like that first card with the skier on it. Hugs Mrs A.

My, you have been busy with all these super cards, though you did confuse me with skis or skies, lol!
Hope its not too wet up in your neck of the woods and certainly hope you dont need skis. Hope you're feeling better too.

Two cards with a beautiful vintage feel. Loving the images and your pretty cards.
PS I used to be a better speller but my blog is often full of spelling and grammar mistakes as I had to learn to read and write again after that accident 9 years ago when we hit the deer. I suffered a really bad concussion.
So don't feel bad about spelling mistakes ever! I think very few of us are able to polish our halos daily!!!r
