Hello Everyone, how are you today? well I hope, but sending kind thoughts to those who are not so well, and hope you feel better soon.
Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last card, very kind of you, and I do appreciate each of them.
It's mighty cold here today, the temp has fairly dropped over the last couple of days, definitely time for the Winter woollies. I do love the Winter light though.
We went to the cinema this morning to see I Daniel Blake, very moving film, well I wouldn't expect anything else from Ken Loach, he is a fantastic film maker, and as you may know he has the Establishment up in arms with it. I thought that although a harrowing story, there are many more much worse out there, many a person I had to help support through the dehumanising experience that this film is about. I would recommend seeing it.
Anyway, off my soapbox now and on to my card;
Crafty Individuals Time Flies stamp, embossed in Wow white embossing powder on to black card, and as I had four attempts at doing this and finally getting one I was happy with, I decided to cut another clock out colour it and layer it on. Matted on to platinum card from CC and added a few gems.
I think this is a lovely image and would do for many different occasions and for male or female cards.
I'm going to enter it into http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/week-388-timeclocksnumbers.html
Just a short post today, having a quiet evening as Alistair will be out at his music group, so I plan to get a bit of knitting done.
Take care and see you soon,

Before I read your post I just knew this had to be for Allsorts, it's absolutely perfect Kate, my thanks for joining in this week.
I have read some very good reports on that movie and looking forward to seeing it, but will have to wait for it to come onto Sky as can't really cope sitting in a cinema for the duration of a movie. But one to look forward to.

A lovely card Kate. It's a super stamp and I like the little clock. Barbxx
Hi Kate,
what a very brilliant card, and I love all your wonderful stamped clocks.
Such a very great design.
We have loads of clocks in our house as my DH loves to mend them.
One clock I was given by our keyboard player which is American and 160 years old.
Now I just wonder what that clock has seen in it's life time.
It was in quite a state till my DH restored it.
I love to hear them chiming.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
A fabulous card Kate the white embossing on the black background is very dramatic - I'm not surprised it took more than one attempt, well worth the effort though¸a super design.

such a lovely card Kate - so unusual - love it to bits! Big hugs rachel x
That's a gorgeous stamp Kate, embossing with white is always fraught with pitfalls but when it goes right it looks beautiful as yours does here. A fabulous card for any occasion.

Glad you had a nice movie outing to while away a cold day! I'm not familiar with this movie. Loving this elegantly designed card. Love the pop of the pink clock against the black and white and I love the way you've done the mat details to create the layout. So very rich looking. Stay warm. TFS & Hugs
What a gorgeous card Kate, it really stands out with the white embossing. The film sounds good too, sounds like my kind of thing. Hugs, Shona xx

What a fun card, love the pop of red! Haven't seen that film. I'm more of a horror movie girl, which is ironic considering the soft fluffy style of my crafting. lol
This stamp looks amazing white-embossed, Kate, but the decision to color the clock and layer it on was genius! It really pops! Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell
Hi Kate, yes, it is getting cold. We've had lots of snow here this morning but most of it's gone now. I love your card and I really like the clock at the front being a different colour. You mentioned having four attempts on the black card. Do you use an anti-static pad? I don't have one myself but I do always give all of my cards a fine dusting of baby powder before stamping with VersaMark and it works perfectly. Once the ink is cooled, you can then give the card a rub over with a cloth to remove any talc that may be left on. I find this is a cheap option and it saves throwing away good cardstock. Hope this tip might help you in future. Crafty hugs, Sandra x
I actually dug out my hat, scarf and gloves today, brrr, still at least it was dry and not snowing!
A lovely embossed card, I always find white on black takes a couple of attempts to be happy too. Monochrome is always a favourite and loving the touch of colour. It always makes for a classy card.
Stay warm and enjoy your knitting, hugs Erika. x
Such a very effective card Kate. I love the image embossed in white and the coloured watch is a great addition to the design. Hope you enjoyed your evening.
Hugs Jennifer xx.
