Colours of Autumn Friday Oldie!

Good Morning One and All, Friday once again.... where did the week go???
Back with my Friday Oldie share joining in with our Erika.. and you can find her here.
Erika of Snappy Crafts started this a wee while ago asking folk to share their earlier makes, whatever it is you make, and it's just a bit of fun and lets you see how your style has changed/improved, and all that sort of thing.  There are quite a few of us sharing now, so why not join us.

Here is mine;
This card was made with the free stamps from Creative Stamping magazine a couple of years ago. They were all Autumn  themed stamps and really lovely. Just a simple little card in Autumnal shades.

It is becoming quite Autumnal first thing in the mornings now, and as many of you know it's my favourite season, I just love the colours and crispness of the air.

Well, I must tell you that I finally finished my hoodie thing yesterday, hallelujah!! and I hate it. It isn't as good as the photo in the pattern, especially the hood and I'm sooooooo scunnered (perfect word to discribe my feeling) I can't even think to take it apart and start again, besides you just now when you don't look right in something. Alistair bless him, said it was unique.... I think that says it all.

I have decided to have a post where I will show my disasters, I know we are our own worst critics, but sometimes we're right, LOL!!

That's me for today, thank you for your lovely comments on my last card, I always love to here what you have to say, and especially love when someone new or hasn't commented in a while visits.

Have a lovely Friday, been raining through the night here, not sure what it's going to do, but what ever it does, it will be okay as we are very lucky, unlike some people waking up to bombs, and now like Italy that devastating earthquake, these poor souls are in my thoughts.
Take care,

HAHA, had to giggle when you mentioned Alistair's comment about your hoodie being unique. I get that with my cards too, when the word 'nice' comes out of his mouth, I know I need a do-over. tee hee. Love your autumn card. hugs :)

I think Autumn is my favorite season too - at least when we lived in the mountains of North Carolina. Don't know how I feel about it here in Northern Florida.
Put you Hoodie away for a year - take it out and then see what you think!
I would give anything to be able to knit as good as you do!!
I am going to have to make me a new dictionary and add the word "scunnered" - never heard it before and I can already tell you I love it!

Alistair's comment made me smile Kate when referring to your hoodie. Bless. I'm sure it is lovely, as you've mentioned we are our own worst critic.

A lovely autumnal card today, love the colour combo, just perfect for the coming season.
Thanks for joining me today sharing an oldie.

I hope you have a lovely weekend, hugs Erika. x

So sorry about your hoodie, Kate...
Love Alistairs comment.
I made a skirt in fifth class with hand stitched French seams all eight of them double stitched, then the (mad) teacher had us hand stitch almost as many rows around the top for elastic to threaded through. By the time I did all that and hem it I hated it too, even though I think it did turn out ok.
Love your oldie, but I'm enjoying spring here, glad winter is going. Over it. Shaz.x

I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your hoodie but I'm sure you're being too self critical.

Anyway your card is lovely. The colours are gorgeous and what a lovely stamp set you got as a freebie. I love the colours of autumn but it's not my favourite time of year. I know winter is on the way and my spirit drops when the clocks chnge. I love the springtime most. Have a lovely weekend. Barbxx

Hi Kate
Just the right colour choices for Autumn on your lovely card.
You gotta love Mr C. He should have been in the diplomatic corps lol! I usually get......"is it supposed to look like that?"
Have a great weekend.

Lovely autumn tones on your card. It is getting quite a damp feel in the evenings now too. We had to come in from the garden at 7.30pm as it was distinctly chilly even though the day had been hot and sunny.
Don't know where this year ahs gone to. Pretty much like the previous ones. I'm sure someone is cranking up the handle of time. ! Lol. Hugs Mrs A.

Hi Kate, Norm here. This might take a little while as I'm typing with my left hand. Thankyou so much for following my exploits this past month and leaving me such nice comments. I'm realy proud of my fan base. I'm secretly looking forward to be able to have a lie in of a morning and not have to race through my 'snap crackle and pops' in order to check through my photos and write up my post for the day. My boater goes off to you ladies who do such regular posts all the time and make such lovely things. Hugs Norm.
