Little Blue Dancer, for Friday Oldie!

Hello Everyone, I'm a wee bit late posting this, I usually have my oldie posted by now, but busy this morning and then had to go into town. Dreich day here, smirry rain and very dull, a lot cooler too.

Thank you so much for all you fab comments on Alistair's photos and my card of course, you are all very kind  Pamellia, you didn't know if the photos were of my hubby or son, there are of my hubby, my son Damian wouldn't countenance doing any as hair raising as that.

Anyway, here I am with my Oldie for Friday all started by Erika and you can find her blog here where on a Friday we share an older creation made at an earlier time in our crafting career.  It doesn't have to be a card, could be knitting, sewing, painting, photography, well the list is endless isn't it. It's just a bit of fun and it it's good look back and see how your crafting style has changed.

Now I'm sure you will recognise this little beauty from LOTV, and I would  think she has been coloured with Promarkers. If I remember correctly I was asked to make this for a client's little niece.

I popped down to the Uni Campus the other day to check on the swans and ducks and took a couple of photos

All cygnets present and correct, haven't they grown some, they are all around their mum with dad bringing up the rear.
I'm sorry to say the ducklings haven't faired so well (is that the correct faired or is it fared?), I could only see two and there was six in the beginning. Sad if the gulls have got them.

Amazing to think that this the end of yet another week, whizzing by.

I hope you all have some good plans for the weekend, don't know yet what we will do, having said that sometimes it just good to do nothing.  Whatever you do have a good one and see you soon,

A really quick peek and hello, internet problems last few days hence lack of visits so having a quick catch up before it's gone again.

Another great oldie Kate nice to see the non traditional colours. Also great to catch upon the swans and cygnets, shame if the ducklings have been taken by gulls they are quite vicious

Hi Kate, thanks for joining me today. A beautiful Christmas card, LOTV images are so cute.

A really sweet little image on your card Kate. Glad to hear the swans are al well and accounted for but sorry if some of the ducklings haven't made it. A few years ago we were walking along the side of the river and a pike came up and took a duckling as we watched. It was really upsetting. Onto a happier note, last evening we watched a woodpecker eating from the bird table. I've never seen that before. Unfortunately we were too far away to take a photo.

You have a good weekend whatever you choose to do. Barbxx

Beautiful card Kate! It'f fun to look back at cards from the past. It's 'fared' btw. Love your photos. The baby swans are so adorable, I've never seen those before! I find that I am really sad to hear that the baby ducks are being eaten by seagulls!! We had two families of ducks here a few weeks ago, over a dozen ducklings in total and now there are none left. I just figured they moved somewhere or were hiding in the reeds, but now I am annoyed and saddened to learn that they have probably just not survived. Mother Nature can be so cruel sometimes!! Seagulls just got bumped down a notch on my favourite animals list!! hugs :)

It's not just seagulls. We saw a Heron swoop down and snatch a baby duckling straight up off a canal as we were walking along it. Love your LOTV image on this card and the colour. Hugs Mrs A.

A very sweet oldie Kate, she's so pretty in her blue skirt. Great photos too, seagulls can so hard on the ducklings, poor little ones.

Love and hugs

She's a delightful sweetie, and blue & white, (toss in some script background), well that's a win combination in my book. It's a very pretty card, Kate. Love your photos too, and hope you had a quiet, relaxing weekend. Mr. looks like he could use it, after all the exciting things he gets up to. And if he's relaxing, you won't be worrying about what's he might be doing! TFS & Hugs

Such a lovely oldie Kate!
I'm happy that the cygnets are faring better then the poor ducklings. My daughter had one in her flat for 3 weeks last year with his leg strapped up, she returned him to Mum and he did fine so a happy ending for that one - she's as soft as me when it comes to animals!
