Wintry Trees and Mitts!

Hello Everyone, and I hope where ever you are that you are well and having better weather than us up here in the north of Scotland. It's rained for almost three day, but it's also been dark which isn't nice.

I just want to remind you all of the Candy I have on offer, I've forgotten how to do a sticky post, so I will remind you whenever I put up a new post.  I will post overseas so if you are at the other side of the world don't be put off from entering. just leave me a comment on the candy post and put a photo of the candy on your side bar to be eligible.  I've had so many faithful Followers over the 5 years I've been blogging, that I wanted to mark the fact that I have now 100, will in fact it's 106, since I offered the Candy. So welcome to you all and I do hope you will return often if you like what I make.

Now did anyone have a wee message from Blogger about doing something else in late April, when my dashboard opened there it was. Can anyone throw any light on it??

Here is my card for today;
Inkylicious Winter Trees, and a selection of pink, grey and blue DIs for my background. The sentiment is from a set that came a long with Creative Stamping Mag. Matted on to pink and black card. Lots of Star Dust for the snowy look.

Another poor photo though, but I have to thank Pam for offering some help, and I think that I've got the right settings OK, I have come to the conclusion I'll never be a David Baily.

Here is some knitting I've finished, kinda goes along with the wintry trees;
I call them Gothic Mitts, and these will be a gift for someone.  Alistair was trying to take a photo of me wearing them and Teallach decided he wanted in the picture too. The Mitts are knitted in lovely Aran Yarn by Cascade, lovely yarn to knit with and there are little clear heart buttons on the side.

Enough from me today, but just wanted to thank you all for the lovely comments on my CCC post, always appreciated.
Take care All and see you soon'

Hi Kate. Beautiful card. Lovely soft stamping. Fabby mits. You are so clever. Wish I could knit. Had a message on the blogger account. Sorry not sure what it means either. I have had problems leaving comments on your blog for some reason. Know that I am keeping up with your posts though.
Hugs Flo xx

Hi Kate, Your card is lovely and has a great soft feeling to it.

I like those super mits. They look nice and soft too. Sorry I can't help out with the blogger thing. I just know I've not been getting everyone's work show up on my dashboard. Barbxx

I love your card, so atmospheric, beautiful. Your mitts look amazing. I enjoyed knitting, although I was never anywhere near your standard. I managed a pair of socks though, well, with mum's help to turn the heel! Sadly, knitting aggravates my neck problems now, so no more knitting. Cara x

Sorry I don't seem to be able to email you for some reason. How about Friday, I'm at the Hairdressers at 10, so any time after that. Marlene

Scu a gorgeous wintry scene and love those mitts. To make a sticky post just go in and edit your post and change the date to the date the candy ends and then it will stay at the top x

Brrrr..these trees look very chilly. Love the sponging in the background, as it created quite a beautiful wintery scene. Also enjoyed seeing your mitts - they look very cozy! TFS & Hugs

Hi Kate,
such a gorgeous card, and those wintry trees look fab as does your lovely inked background.

Sorry not noticed the blogger thing.

If you would like to know how to do your sticky post.
You just go into the page where you can edit your post, and change the date each day so it appears on the top of your page every day.
I hope that helps.

The weather here starts lovely and sunny,but by late afternoon it turns to rain.
So I suppose we are lucky to have some sunshine at least.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

A fabulous card Kate, such a wonderful winter scene.
Your mitts are brilliant, they will be a wonderful gift for someone.
I've seen some comments on Facebook about the blog message - I don't think it is anything to worry about, it's just a security thing.

Hi Kate, I absolutely love this card. The pink and grey colour combination is perfect and the misty look that it has just makes it so atmospheric. These 'Bare Tree' stamps are definitely some of my favourites from Inkylicious and you've done an amazing job with them.
I saw the blogger thing this morning but have no idea whatsoever what it means but I guess we'll find out shortly! X X

Your mitts look lovely and warm. I wear fingerless mitts all the time even when crafting. I'm knitting a multi colour pair at the moment and knitting theem in tandem on the same pair of kneedles so that I get the stiches and the patterns the same. I have that message too and haven't a clue what they are on about. More things to get disrupted and lost me thinks. Hugs Mrs A.

Best wishes.

Ps........the Blogger message I get is that it won't support certain Windows anymore, such as XP which I have. Apparently, we can continue to blog but won't get any updates from Blogger/Google.

I have been having so much trouble leaving comments on your blog. I'm not sure why or what I'm doing wrong. So I hope you are getting my comments. Your card captures winter perfectly. I love the hints of pink in the sky.
