Merry Christmas One and All!

Hello Everyone, here I am with my last post for this year, and  hoping you are well today and coping with all the Christmas preparations.
I thought I would be putting up the decorations today, but Alistair has come down with a nasty cold and is keeping to his bed. I've trying to explain to him that there is a difference between the cold and the flu as he can't understand why when he has had the flu injection that he should have a cold, oh I sometimes need the patience of a saint, and I am certainly not one of those. Anyway, I need a bit of help with the deccies, so they will have to wait until he feels a bit better.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments on my previous card.

Damian has just popped in with Moreen's gifts for me to wrap, she's a lucky lady I can tell you, I rather fancy the new dressing gown myself. Thankfully, he has brought the wrapping paper, ribbons and bows, and it's a purple theme this year.

Alistair and I decided to not do the gift thing in a big way this year, well what do we need, and I think we will try to get a holiday deal after the year instead, just a few days in a nice hotel, just to recharge the batteries. We usually find somewhere that's offering a DBB three nights for two sort of thing.

Here is my final card;
Photo is not good, It's an Indigo Blue image and inked in green, not showing well though, and gold WOS. LC Sentiment and a snowflake embossed background.
It's for our neighbour who works in forests so we thought a card with trees would be appropriate for him. The real life one is much better.

For many folks this time of year can be so difficult and sad, Christmas is portrayed as a family time and for many people that is just not the case, and for others it's a time where loved ones are missed, for many reasons, I always think it's good to keep that in mind and count our blessings.

I thought I would  leave you  with our new Christmas decoration that Alistair  made for the garden,
Isn't he lovely, I tried to photograph him in the dark so that the lights in his antlers lit up, but the camera wasn't playing ball. A local garden centre wanted £55 for one very similar, get on yer bike my hubby said I can make that, and so he did.

Wishing You All a Very Merry Christmas and Health and Happiness in the coming New Year, and one that doesn't go quite so fast as this one has, look after yourselves and I'll see you in 2016

Love your garden decoration! I think that I will be showing John this so that next year ..... who knows! Super card too, the tree image is great for the recipient. I haven't thought about my tree yet although I have got out the box with my ceramic village and the ceramic nativity scene so maybe tomorrow I'll set them out. I am out to lunch with some ex-colleagues so it will be nice to catch up, but it means the afternoon for decorations. Hugs Christine xx

Kate, Alistair has make great job of your garden decoration, he can start a wee business with these. Love your card, you are right there are so many out there that it will be a sad lonely time for them. We are not giving each other gifts, like you and Alistair we don't want for anything. The money is going towards our next trip to Canada. Hope Alistair's man flu doesn't last long. Have a lovely break. xxx

Hi Kate, I hope hubby feels better soon.
Another lovely Christmas card, I think the trees should go down well with a forrester.
As for the reindeer, we saw something similar at the show in Glasgow and hubby made a comment along the same lines. Unfortunately I will not hold out to see if he makes one as he has a bit of a track record! Still waiting for a play table for my eldest who is now nearly 17 and certainly no longer needs one.

Please tell your hubby from me he has done a grand job there, I love him.

Hugs Erika. x

Merry Christmas Kate - it just does not feel like Christmas this year - it really came rather quickly. I think we should look for a holiday deal for just the two of us. We did have one flying first class to Brussels but we decided we just wanted to stay here. My daughter is a flight attendant for United and periodically we can get some really good deals. We are still tired from having all of our family here over Thanksgiving!!!!!
I am enjoying my CD -

Now Kate,
I could have sworn I had left a comment on this but heyho!
Lovely festive card but the star of the show is Alastair's Rudolph. What a fantastic showpiece for the garden........and hopefully won't be too attractive to other folk who may want him in their garden!
Enjoy your break and look forward to seeing you back soon.

Beautiful trees card, love it. I had a deer like this one years ago, a gift from a friend. He stood in the yard for a few years then started to deteriorate until he didn't even resemble himself and we had to dismantle him. So cute, and clever hubby you have there Kate.

Hugs
