Happy Birthday Jake!

Good Evening to all my Blogging Friends and Visitors, I hope everyone is well, but if you're not, I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thank you one and all who kindly left comments on my last card, I do appreciate each of them and the time you take to visit. Everyone is busy and I know it take a bit of time to visit the blogs.

Well, we have snow, quite a bit in fact with more to come. lovely to look at, but not go out in. I went into the work today, even although it was one of my days off, as our area manager was having a staff meeting about all the changes that will be happening soon and I felt it important to be there. I left much earlier to get the bus just in case it was late arriving, I hate being late for things. well it was 40 minutes late, but it wasn't the bus I went out for, it was the one before that, nevertheless, I was pleased to see it.
However, the meeting didn't inform us with any more information than we had, all a bit frustrating and a waste of valuable time.  I'm not too concerned about things as I've only around two years to go, but my colleagues all have a long way to go before they can retire and they don't feel secure in their jobs.  Hopefully we will hear positive news soon.

My card tonight is one that my friend Karen commissioned for her son's birthday;
I've used an image form Mo's Digital Pencil and SN to colour it
LOTV Papers
Xcut Star Dies
Tattered Lace Alphabet Die
blue card
White cord
Wink of Stella in Clear

Well it was Jake's birthday today so hope he liked it.

I'm off to make a cuppa, so I will love you and leave you and hope to see you soon,

Kate, this is a wonderful card for a boy that loves video games, and is there any that don't. I used this wonderful digi for a card for my Grandson couple years ago and he loved it. Love your layers and background papers too.

Kate, a great card, if Jake is anything like most young folk these days that will just be him. He will love it. What a waste of your time going in for that meeting, I think this is what happens in so many work place these days, the person giving the meeting just don't get all the facts together. You be careful while out. Hazel x

Great card Kate, and very apt for today's youngsters. What a shame you had such a wasted journey, especially in such conditions. It must awful to feel so unsettled at work, and quite difficult to give of your best if your future is so uncertain. Those two years will fly by Kate and then you will be enjoying your retirement. We have some snow but not a lot as yet, but do take are. Hugs Christine xx

I love this image, so much so I have it too. It is such a topical boy card just now. Great colour combo.

Shame about the meeting, it is so frustrating when you go expecting answers and get nothing more.

Stay cosy, hugs Erika. x

A cute image for a boy, and love the coloring & shading with the edging colors too. Very cheery background papers, and the dimensional stars. I'm sure your friend was so pleased with this custom card. Your work situation sounds so stressful (been there, glad to be out of it!) I hope all things will go as you need them to go. Sadly so many companies are doing this kind of thing, & it takes a toll on employees too. Hope you didn't get too awfully cold waiting on your bus. TFS & Hugs. Stay warm.

That was very frustrating for you Kate to have to make such a dreadful journey and then be a waste of time! Its amazing how fast these next two years will go before you retire! A wonderful card for Jake you have done a great job of the colouring and love the letters! Susan x

Hi Kate
Great card for a teenager. I'm sure Jake loved it.
You take care in that snow. We have been lucky and had a teeny bit on Tuesday night. Mr D was in Newton Mearns (Glasgow) yesterday and said it was bad there.
Stay in the warm with your furry friend (and Teallach lol!)

You really hit the mark with this fantastic card, your colouring and choice of papers are superb the stars and the recipients name great finishing touches. Sorry the information at your meeting was nothing new,it's worrying when changes aren't communicated to staff promptly especially if being implemented soon. Take care Meg
