Good Evening my Crafty Buddie, I hope the day has been good to you. I've been working today and not long home, so I'm a bit whacked, it was quite a demanding day and we were short staffed, so tis is just going to be a short post.
First though I want to tell you about our new family member, his name is Teallach and he is a year old cat that we've adopted from the local SSPC. I would dearly love to show a photo, but since he has been here, he has been in hiding, we even had to call in assistance from the SSPC as he got stuck behind the boiler and we couldn't get him out, luckily a very tall officer arrived to help, he must have been at least 6.5. so his long arms saved the day. Now the cat has been hiding under the sofa all day, and only came out when Alistair was out to get a little food and a widdle.
He is very nervous and had been in the re homing unit for a while, but one of the officers had done a lot of work with him to help him get over his nervousness, be he is in a new environment so he's having a a wee set back, it will just take time. He is a bonny boy, with a long fuzzy tail, and I think he will be very loving once he is used to us. When I can take his photo I'll let you see him.
Now on to my card for my Oldie for Friday;
It's a Micheal Powell image and coloured with Promarkers

AWESOME LOVE IT Kate, this is one Super Christmas card and the colours, papers and added goodies are just 'wow factor'.xxThe Journey is the Start
Such a gorgeous card Kate. I love the image and wonderful colours.
How lovely that you have been able to give Teallach a new home. I am sure he will settle in soon. I look forward to seeing a photo of him.
hugs Sue
Hi Kate what a lovely card, I really like these Michael Powell stamps, a bit big but so interesting. We had a rescue cat and he was the nicest most gentlest cat I ever saw. He was really big and all black, never snarled or went to scratch you even with my little grandsons. He would come and sit beside me and nudge me for a cuddle but he was so big he would nudge me over!!! When we first got him he was very nervous around men, jumping if they made a sudden movement so I think he may have been mistreated by a man. He overcame that though. Sadly we had to have him put down last year as he developed liver cancer. One week he was fine and the next week gone, I miss him so much and will never find another cat like him again. Sorry to have gone on!! Look forward to seeing a picture of yours when you have coaxed him out!! Susan x
A beautiful card with a lovely scene for the main feature. Look forward to seeing a pic of Teallach when he settles down. We have two rescue cats but unfortunately they don't get on with each other so they have separate parts of the house, lol.

Hi Kate, love your card. That stamp is fab and love your colouring. Awe, can't wait to see a photo of the new puss hope he settles in soon and makes himself at home with you and Alistair. Shona xx
Great card Kate. Loved hearing about Teallach, I take it he was called after the Munro. Enjoy him and he will be your loving companion. Hugs Rita xxx
Kate have you tried putting a plug in felaway in. Gillian and Tammy had to use them for a couple of weeks with their resued cats. But so glad you have given in and taken on another cat. Love your "oldie". Hazel xx

How exciting a new member of the family. We took in a stray cat 7 years ago, turned up on our door one summer and has stayed ever since. Hubby called him Gus he's a big black and white boy, such lovely natured and as dopey as they come....the cat not hubby!
What a beautiful beautiful christmas scene...so serene and festive

Hi Kate,
what a really fab Oldie for Friday.
Great colouring in of your super image, and a really fab design as usual.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hey Kate! Looking forward to seeing a picture of your cat. I have three cats - all have been tamed by me. Well the first two have - the third young one is still wild as can be. It is going to take a long time. I had him to the point where I could pet him when he was sleeping and then made the mistake of trying to catch him and put him in my lap. Now I have to start all over again,
I love your card Sugar - I really do like Michael Powell images but finding the stamps hard to come by. Your Christmas scene is delightful.
Guess what kid - I finally posted! I would love to hear what you think!

Another super Christmas card Kate, thanks for sharing an oldie this Friday with me. I love the town image and all the twinkly glitter....a must at Christmas.
Good luck with the new pussycat, I'm sure he'll get braver in time.
Have a super weekend, hugs Erika. x
A gorgeous scenic card Kate. Love it.

Good luck with getting your new family member adjusted to his environment. As he learns he can trust your kindness, I expect he will be less nervous. Your card is lovely and that's a lot of detailed coloring in this winter village too. Like the shape of the opening revealing the scene and the pretty papers. Happy wkend. TFS & Hugs
Beautiful Christmas card Kate, love the image and details.
good luck with your new family member.

Hi Kate
What a stunning card. Fab image. Reminds me I've got a Michael Powell stamp that I've never used. Also have a fab MP cross stitch of Venice that my friend stitched for me.
Have no idea how you pronounce the little fellas name but I'm sure he will settle in. My late Sam hid under the kitchen units for days when we moved house. Look forward to seeing a pic.
Have a great weekend.

this is gorgeous Kate, I love the image. Marlene
Eeh Kate - I thought it was Alistair who got out for some food and a widdle! Then I read it again ... phew! Must admit that Teallach sounds a sweetie - Blossom's hubby Donny is a bit like him. He is always hiding and is not yet used to us totally but we are getting there! Ooops I've gone off on one!
I do like those Michael Powell images, and this is no exception, such a beautiful card.
Hugs to you Sue Pxxx
What a sweet winter scene. Love the scalloped card and the bright traditional holiday colors.
Since I am working backwards here, I saw the pictures of your kitty, he's a lucky boy to have been found by you.
I am sure soon you won't be able to sit down without him coming to your lap for a cuddle.
Hugs
