MR. & MRS.!

Good Evening to all my Blogging Friends and Visitors, I hope you've had a good day.
We have had another lovely day here in Inverness, but I did feel a chill in the air this morning, heralding the start of Autumn, me thinks, my favourite season.

Well Alistair had a wonderful walk in the mountains yesterday, but as usual overdid it, so he is suffering with stiff legs today. Bless him, is now saying he does too much and that he is  a dafty, but I don't suppose he'll stop.

I was really naughty last night as I didn't go to choral practise as I wanted to watch the Salmond/Darling Debate, when I texted my choral buddie to tell her, she was playing hooky for the same reason, I wonder how many other didn't go.  I know how I'm voting, but I was hoping to hear more about the NHS, but the currency took over once again, so I don't feel I've learnt anything new.
Anyway, I will have to catch up with the music I've missed.

My card tonight is a Wedding Card;

This was a card that was commissioned, and I decided to keep the focus on the Mr. & Mrs. Die which is from Tattered Lace, I cut the die out in silver card and stuck it behind, just setting it offside a little.
Papermainia, Eau de Nile paper, and Core'dinations.
MB Precious Hearts in Silver and Eau de Nile card
Ribbon is Papermania
Hobby House Pearls and WO Flower

I hope the Mr. & Mrs. to be like it, I wasn't given anything to go on, so here's hoping.

We did enjoy our evening out on Sunday at Cawder Castle at the play, it remained dry, but got quite chilly towards the end of the performance, but we were toasty.  The play was really good, just a small cast, all guys, even Juliet,  it was interesting to say the least.
There was quite a good turnout, no so many luvvies as before, but the guy sitting next to me was on his mobile the whole of the performance, not talking, but keeping a watch on ebay I think, honestly, phones has become an extension of limbs now.   The downside of the evening was the midges, I was eaten alive with them, and the crown of my head is all raised with their bite and so itchy, and around the hairline it's all red bumps.  I must have some super blood for them to feast off.  We stupidly never gave these horrible pests a thought, when we could have put on some protection.

I just want to welcome Mary who is my latest follower and incidently one of my fellow members of the CCC, so I hope you'll come back often.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments on my previous card, I love reading them and appreciate your time and encouragment.

That's me for tonight, take care everyone and I'll see you soon,

Hi Kate, thx for the warm welcome. I just gave you a shoutout on my post tonight! I enjoyed hearing about your evening at the Castle, but so sorry you got eaten by the midges. The cell phone aggravation is Everywhere...and so very annoying. Why bother to waste one's time at an event, if all you're going to do, is play with the phone?! Loved your card. I like that offset look with the lettering. I can never get that to look right. Your card is beautiful, and I'm sure the recipients will think so too. Great job and I shall be back to enjoy your cards and get to know you a bit better. TFS & Hugs

How fun you ditched choral practice for politics - your politics must be much more interesting there - it would seldom be worth it here in the U.S. Your card is beautiful - love the colors and the die. I have seen that die used a couple of times and now I am wanting it. Love your blog - saw Mary mentioned you and couldn't resist visiting due to your extremely fun blog name.

Hi again Kate, thanks for your kind words, dad can't hear on the phone let alone read and texting is certainly not of his capabilities....great suggestion if he could. We are going to see if we can grant permission to see him a couple of times even just to explain to him what is going on...hubby and I are the only family that ever sees their loved ones everyday, most residence don't see family for weeks so dad will wonder for sure...hope the 'boss' will allow a little visit a couple of times in that period of time if we just visit him in his room and not in the sunroom as normally do...xx

Hi Kate,
what a great Mr & Mrs card.
Love the colour scheme, and those fab papers.
You should try taking Garlic tabs, I always recommend them when children get those horrible little blighters in their hair, as they don't like drinking the blood with Garlic in, so they don't stay in any ones head that has Garlic in their blood. So maybe it might work for midges too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hi Kate, the midges were bad in Aviemore too at the weekend. I love your card, what's not to love, it's my favourite colour!
CAS but loving your added embellishments.
I know what you mean about the weather, it's been beautiful here to but once the sun goes down the heat drops drastically.
Have a good evening, hugs Erika. x

glad you enjoyed your evening at the play. I watched part of that debate. Sadly Mr Salmon still can not give an answer on currency which I think is a big issue and should be sorted before you go to the poles. I'd still like to know how he thinks he'll fund all the free stuff that Scotland enjoys at the moment, ie Free university places, prescriptions, care for elderly.........

Love the beautiful colours and simplicity of your card it will surely be treasured by the recipients.
Hope Alistair has recovered I've an invalid today, hubby was helping our neighbour and the vet with his Highland cattle when the bull decided it wasn't going to respond to the sedation it had been given and charged , hubby was thrown against a fence post his back is torn to ribbons with the barbed wire and he has a mild concussion.

Beautiful card Kate. That Mr and Mrs die is wonderful!

Midges love me too. I think they are worse than mosquitoes as the bites seem to stay longer! I hate them...to bad they love us...right?
Hope Allistair feels better soon.
I can feel great sympathy for him overdoing it as I painted a dresser yesterday and today...I mostly sat to do it but all that bending forward has me moaning! lol

PS me again...forgot to say that I am not a high heat lover...just my DH and the girls. They seem to all get energized from it. me, I just feel like I am melting! The only thing to do on days like that is go to the beach or the pool and just hang out. In the evenings we sit outside and I colour or we play scrabble or Aggravation till it cools off enough to sleep.
We do have TV here but I am not big on that till late evening!

Popped back to tell you that the photos were just our guest house or bunkhouse as they ar called here..
We live in a Recreation Vehicle or RV for short. We have a 367 foot long 5th wheel trailer. We have two slides that bump out for extra rooms, creating a dinette and a media centre. The widith is about 13 1/2 feet wide. About the size of a small caravan!
There are many caravans here but DH was not sure he wanted to just stay in one place so we bought a 5th wheel...giving us the option of taking holidays with it...but we never have! We just leave it here all the time! lol

What a great die the Mr and Mrs is, Kate. Wonderful idea to make the words the focal point of the front of the card. The newlyweds are going to love this one.
