Hello Friends and Visitors,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas however you celebrate it, we had a quiet one but, relaxing all the same. We spent it with Damian and Moreen and all the pets, and Damian was on the cooking and made the most fabulous meal, too much really, but oh so good. Lovely presents, given and received, and not a duff one amongst them.
I hope you are all well and if not well here are some HUGSSSSS, to help you hopefully to feel a bit better.
There is some awful weather down South, I can't imagine what that's like for these poor people, I really feel for them, and now on the news it would seem that Ayrshire is being hit. so Rita, I hope you are not experiencing dreadful weather and are safe.
Thank you all for your kind comments on my last card and the socks, I love to read all your remarks, keep them coming.
Now I wasn't going to show these little tags, but I wanted to post something, I'm afraid that I've not been inspired to get crafting, I think I sickened myself in the run up to Christmas. Anyway, these tags came about because I forgot to buy any and I needed them for Damian and Moreen's Gifts, so here they are;
They are not brilliant in comparison to some made by you very talented crafters, and again they are something I don't really do, but needs must.
Papermania paper
SB and Die'sire Dies
Gems and tartan ribbon
Kitten image from magical Christmas Moments CD, by Cupcake
WO poinsettias
Creative Expression Dazzlers
Silver lace from Hobby Craft
Heart gems from my box
They did the trick though.
To finish off here are my latest socks, made with yarn from a company called Five Moons, it's the softest yarn and I just love the Autumn shades. My little pap is Snowy, he belonged to my mum and he sings Frosty the Snowman, we have never managed to make out the words properly in all the years we've had him, but he's awfully cute and always brings a mile to my face.
That's me for now, take care everyone and see you soon

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hello Everyone, I do hope you are all well and keeping sane, we are almost at the Big Day, in fact I will reach there before you as my Christmas Countdown seems to be a day ahead of it's self.
I just wanted to thank everyone for visiting and commenting on my wee efforts, you have all been so encouraging, and also for the words of advice and support throughout what has been a bit of a difficult year for me, Alistair too as he had to put up with me. It all helped to keep me going, and come out the otherside, and the New Year begins a new phase in my life, so Thanks so much.
I have so enjoyed getting to know you fab talented folk and, even meeting up with some of you, especially at the Birmingham NEC, that's you Ang and Christine, one of the highlights of my year, and all brought about by Patricia and Hazel, and of course their friend Elaine.

Mrs. Duck, from The Duck's Dodahs, otherwise know as Ang, wondered if I was going to show the socks I was knitting with some of the yarn I'd bought at the Craft Fair, well Ang here they are;
Now, these are for Lewis, who is Alistair's son, and not Damian as you thought Ang, I'm afraid he has to make do with socks from Next this year.The yarn used to make these, is from a Highland company called Ripple Yarns, who die all their own yarn using the colours of plants. Lewis had received them and is delighted with them, thankfully, here also is his card;
I wanted something a wee bit different for him, so I thought this wonderful image from http://nicecranedesigns.com/ would just do the job. The papers and sentiments are from Making Cards, and Navy card. Lots of sparkle, though it's not showing up well, and a few gems.
I just love these Japanese images, they are called Stunning H.Kawase (ukiyo-e).
I don't expect to be back posting over Christmas, but will be trying to keep up with your blogs. I will however be still on the Christmas cards for the CCAYR DT, so sorry about that, I know many of you will be sick of the sight of those sorts of cards.
Well that's me for now, have a fabulous festive time and see you when it's all over,

Gift Box
Hello Everyone, I hope you are all fit and well, and sending kind thoughts to those folk who aren't.
Thank so you all who visited and commented on my gift bag, I can report that Fiona just loved it and her Snowman card Isn't it just lovely when the recipient of your work really likes it and tell you, makes it all worth while.
I'm pretty much on track with the Christmas preparations, really just the wrapping up to do and I'll get around to that at the weekend, and a bit of food shopping, but I don't go mad stocking up as the shops are open on Boxing Day if necessary. We will be at Damian and Moreen's for Christmas Day and they are organising the main course, and they make enough to feed the five thousand, so should be plenty to take home with us.
I don't have a card tonight, again something different for me and I'm so delighted I've managed to make an origami box;
This is my first attempt, and I'm delighted with it, blowing my own trumpet here. I've been loving all the lovely boxes that some of you very talented folk have been making and I really wanted to have a go.
I wanted it for Moreen's Christmas gift, which is one of Patricia, Summerhouse Crafts and Hazel's, Baskets of Joy, beautiful pendants.
First Edition Rose Garden paper
Green Card
WO flowers and Pearl Stick Pins
Hobby House Pearls
Hobby Craft Pearl Lace and Ribbon
Papermania Gems.
So now I've managed thisone, there will be no stopping me, mind you it took me ages to to make as I had to keep stopping the video to do each part of the folding, I'm useless at retaining info.
I hope Moreen likes it, thats all from me tonight.
Keep well and sane,

Snowman Gift Bag!
Hello to you All, Blogging Friends and Visitors alike,
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my last card, everyone is so busy just now, so I really do appreciate your visit.
I hope you are all well and coping with the manic run up to Christmas, it's just so frightening to think we are almost there.
I'm fortunate that I'm on holiday, again, this is the first time I've ever had so many holidays at the one time, and it will never happen again, so I'm making the most of it. This has come about because I was on sick leave for so long and now my holidays have to be taken before January. There is too another piece of news, as I was going through my phased return, I knew I could never go back to full-time within this particular job, so I requested reduced hours, little thinking it could be managed, we really do need all our full-time staff, but the organisation thought about it and offered me 18hrs, just a little over half of what I do at present. So after great deliberations and looking at finances, I've accepted. My hope is that I will be less tired, and less involved, so I begin on 1st. January. This is really quite a big step as I've never worked anything less than full-time in all my years of employment, not even when Damian was small, however, I'm looking as it as a winding down until I can properly retire in 2017.
So to my offering of today;
Something a little different for me, my Chior buddy Fiona, adores the Snowman, well who doesn't, so I decided to make this to put her gift into.
MB dies
Snowman topper from Crafters Companion Magazine
Papers from CD
Core'dination Navy Card
Lace and dew drops from Hobby Craft
Sentiment, one from my stash

That's all for now, have a fab day whatever your doing,

Christmas Kitties
Hello Fellow Bloggers and Visitors, it's once again been a wee while since I was last here, so I hope all is well with you all, but sending kind thoughts to those who aren't.
Just where does the time go? I was doing quite nicely with Christmas preparations, but now held up by not having make the insides of my cards at the time of making them, and it seems to be taking me ages to do them. Note to self, make the insides at the same time. But I won't stress, I found some shop bought ones in my box of tricks if I run out of time.
I was very disappointed in the Christmas Market in Edinburgh earlier in the week, every other stall seemed to have the same items and what there was, I though was quite tatty. The food stalls smelt wonderful though. So that was a pity as I wanted to get a couple of gifts for friends, but I've found something here in Inverness.
I hope you are all coping with the run up to Christmas, it's a crazy time and why that should be I don't know, after all it comes around every year, and holds no surprises.
Thanks to everyone who visited and commented on my previous card, I do appreciated all your comments. Unfortunately, I've been hampered by this PC in getting around to visit and comment on your blogs, so my apologies for missing some folk out. The machine keeps freezing and takes so long to bring up the pages that I'm loosing the will to live. I've been looking at new laptops and I will have to give in and get one soon.
Anyway, here is my card for today;
This is one I was asked to make, and I've used a Cupcake CD, Magical Christmas Moments
Core'dination Card in Green
Diesire Holly Die
The Ribbon Girl Seam Ribbon
Xcut Holly Border Punch
Pearls and Dazzler from my box
Computer generated Sentiment cut with SB Petite Labels
Star Dust
The lady it is for adores cats, so I feel she will like this.
That's all from me tonight, off now to decorated a gift bag, look after yourselves,

Snowmen Melt My Heart!
Hello Everyone, followers and visitors alike and I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
We are have a very dark and rainy day here in Inverness, but it's not so cold.
Thank you to everyone who visited and left kind comments on my last card, all comments are very much appreciated, especially at this busy time of the year.
I've just completed my first full, full-time week at work, and by the time Friday came I didn't know what way was up. We had been particularly busy, the run up to Christmas is always a difficult time for our clients and they can be very demanding of your time. Many of them sink into a depression as they have no one around and of course Christmas is supposedly a happy family time, but not for many people I'm afraid. Anyway we do what we can at the project, but thankfully there are lighter moments too. Thankfully, though I am off on holiday next week. Not doing much, going to Edinburgh on Tuesday with Alistair to have a look at the Christmas markets in Princess Street Gardens, so I'm looking forward to that.
I don't do Christmas stress, well, I do enough of that for other things, so giving myself a break, but in reality, I don't really have all that much to do for it, the biggest part is writing the cards; and talking of cards here is today's offering;
Robyn's Fetish Word Image, heat embossed with Wow Silver embossing powder
LOTV Sentiment.
Freebie Paper
Nitwits Snowman
Core'dination card
The Ribbon Girl Snowflake Charm
Hobby Craft Ribbon
Card Candy
Hobby House Pearls
Star Dust and star gem
My photography is pants these days so sorry about that.
Alistair is on the dinner tonight so I'm off to put my feet up and maybe a cat nap. Take care everyone and see you soon'

Presents!
Good Evening to you All and I hope everyone is well and good, but if not here are some kind thoughts for a speedy recovery.
What about this storm!!, I hope no one has been badly affected by it. We have only had the garden fence down, easily fixed when you've a hubby who can cut a paper sock, but most of The Black Isle is without power and may be for a while longer. There is now snow and the temp continues to drop. Oh well it is December.
Thank you all so much for the lovely, kind comments on the Christmas Stocking card,Alistair was tickled pink that he got a mention for his good cutting out.
Welcome too to my latest follower, Crafting Granny, I do hope you continue to like what I do and call in often, and I will be popping over to see you soon.
Here is my offering for today,
Oh dear a bit of a fuzzy photo, sorry
Papermania Stamp

We Three Trees!
Good Evening Everyone, followers and Visitors alike, I hope you are all well, keeping warm and cosy and not letting the bugs that are going around catch you.
Thank you everyone who left such kind comments on my last card, and especially for my health, I do appreciate you thinking about me.
I've been on holiday this last week and the week has gone past so quickly, I feel as if I've missed a big chunk of it with the tiredness, but at least I can be tired at home, and take things easy, and I've been trying to do just that. The only thing is that I've not managed to have a day entirely in the house, there has always been somewhere to go, and it just takes up so much time. I've also had two visits to the dentist, luckily not all that much required, and I've just found out that there is a Food and Craft Fair this weekend at Eden Court here in Inverness, and if it's the same as last years, there was some beautiful things for sale, so I'm not going to miss that, especially as Alistair will be ensconced in front of the TV watching the rugby, and won't be following me around saying "do you really need that", as if, I mean what's that got to do with anything!.
So to my card;
The photo not great, I was trying to get tham all together.
I was looking through my collection of stamps to see if I had anything that would make simple, quick cards and came up with this tree image from Woodwear that I've had for a couple of years.
I've embossed them with WOW embossing powders and a Papermania one. Mounted them on Green and Gold mirri card, added som gems and a little silver/gold bow. The sentiments are from LOTV.
They are certainly simple, but not all that quick owing to the fact that I'm not all that wonderful at the old heat embossing, but they are quite effective I think, and will possibly do more of them if needed.
I'm off to watch Corrie now with my knitting, trying to get socks finished for Lewis, my step-son's Christmast.
Hope you all have a fab weekend and hope to see you all soon,
I would like to enter my card into; http://wowembossingpowder.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/november-challenge-and-october-winner.html

Let it Snow!!
Hello Blogging Friends and Visitors, I'm finally managing to make an appearance here, it's ages since I last posted anything.
Thanks to everyone who has commented on my last card, I very much appreciate everyone's time, especially as it's a very busy time for you all.
Life has been going at a great rate of knots for me, but mainly my absence has been because I've been so very tired, very little energy, and falling asleep on the sofa after dinner, not like me at all, but then not getting sleep at night.I've not had much oomph to make cards. I know what's causing it, work, but I'm ploughing on till Christmas at least.
I had to find some energy reserves for our concert on Saturday, which I'm pleased to say turned out to be very good and well received. It was a very difficult sing with over sixteen pieces to learn, and many of us didn't feel confident at all, but thankfully as they say it was all right on the night. We are now busy rehearsing for our Carolthon later in December in which we sing all day in the local shopping centre and raise money for charity, and this year it's for Marie Curie. It's an amazing organisation whose work is outstanding, I experienced just how tremendous the nurses are when my mum was in the Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow a number of years ago, nothing was too much trouble for them, and not only did they look after my mum, but also me. Thank goodness for them, so I hope we raise lots of dosh.
I have a card today and here it is;
LC Stamp
LOTV Sentiment
Promarkers
Core'dination card in Navy
Hobby House Pearls
Sparkly ribbon from my box
Stickles in Icicle
This is my effort of a CAS card, I've been so inspired by all they gorgeous CAS cards made by some of my Blogging Friends that I thought I would have a go. It's not completely one, but almost. Hope you like it.
That's me, I hope everyone is well and keeping warm, our temp has gone up a bit, but is supposed to drop tonight.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges

Green Reindeers!
Good Evening to you All and I hope you have had a lovely weekend whatever you've been doing.
I seem to have been rather busy around the house this weekend, and I've had no end of bother with both PC and printer. I changed the ink on the printer, and it's only printing shades of blue and green. I don't know if it's the fact that I used different cartridges to the normal Dell ones,( I was trying to save money), but I've gone through everything my printer manual instructs me to do, but it's still not printing correctly. I wanted to print out some images, but not to be. I hate when things go wrong and the reason can't be found.
Anyway, thank you all so much for the very kind comments on my last card, so pleased you liked it.
Tonight's card I made a couple of weeks ago;
I've used SB reindeer die from Frosty Forms set and cut free paper from Making Cards Mag from last year
Centura pearl card embossed with a Papermania Snowflake folder
Green Core'dination card
Sentiment from the same Magazine
SB Snowflakes
Gold Ribbon from Hobby Crafts
Gems from my box
Glamour Dust
Not much news or stories tonight, all quiet here. So enjoy the rest of your Sunday, I'm off to get in to my PJs and pick up my book. See you soon,

Mistletoe Bridge!
Good Evening Everyone and welcome to another post, this one is my mid-month inspirational card for CCAYR November Challenge and we are looking for a Winter Wonderland card, with snowflakes, snow, frost, all these sort of Wintry elements.
it's only half way through the month, so there is still time to enter the fun. Here is my card;
The image is from Just inklined and coloured with Promarkers in shades of blue.
The set comes with the wonderful mistletoe flowers which Ive used to frame the image, and the card is my take on the marvellous Jak Heath's example shown last year in Creative Stamper Magazine.
Core'dination Card in Navy
Hobby House Blue Pearls
Wow Silver Glitter.
I hope it offers some inspiration and do visit http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/november-challenge.html
where you will find the lovely cards made by the other DTs
Thank you to everyone who took time to visit and comment on my previous card, and also for the encouraging comments about my return to work, all very much appreciated. See you soon,

Holly Tree!
Good Morning All Blogging Friends and of course Visitors. I do hope all is well with you, and if not, then sending out good wishes for you to feel better soon.
Finding it more difficult to getting around to posting as I am stepping up my phased return and now doing a full week and beginning to introduce full days, and feeling terribly tired at the end of the day, but I soldier on and hope for a miracle of energy.
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my wonderful purchases and my last card. I have had no opportunity to play with anything else as yet.
Up and around early this morning as I have to go to the Diabetic Clinic for my blood test results and review, I don't think they will be all that happy with me as I have severely lapsed. Naughty Girl!!
Anyway, have a card to share today and here it is;
This lovely image is from LOTV
Promarkers
Sentiment and papers LOTV
Green Core'dinations Card
Xcut die Shapes

Twig Wreath!
Hello again!!
I was determined to have a play with some of my new buys and also whilst I could still remember what I had seen demonstrated, the old memory fails sometimes.
Here is what I've been up to this afternoon in between making a big pan of Lentil Soup;
I've tried to replicate the twigg wreath that I watched the demonstrator make with Card-io Stamps, and it's not bad for a first attempt.
The Stamps used are from;
Deck the Halls
Oriental blossom
Combinations Collections
Sentiment is a freebie from the stamp set in Creative Stamper
Glossy Accents
Fluffy Stuff
Glamour Dust
A bit of freehand drawing.
Hope you like it, I was very taken with the Cardi-io designs and like the unfussiness of it.
That's me, take care everyone and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

What a Great Time We Had!!
Good Morning Blogging Friends and visitors, and welcome Chris, my latest follower, it's good to have you here and so pleased you have chosen to follow my efforts, I hope I will see you often.
Thank you all so much for all your kind comments on my last cards, even although some of you had seen Alistair's birthday card before, you all seemed to enjoy it again.
Well my trip to Birmingham's NEC with Elaine, Patricia and Hazel was just fabulous, lots of chatting and laughs along the way, even about the extremely rude taxi driver on our run from airport to hotel. All other taxi drivers were brill as was the Travel Lodge's staff, all bright and cheery, even although they were very, very busy.
We met up for dinner with Mrs. Duck, otherwise Ang from The Ducks DoDahs and Christine Harrop of Christine's Cards and Craft. What two smashing ladies they are, and a great evening was had, great stories and laughter all the way. We felt we'd known them for ages, and indeed we have in a way, on Blogland, but meeting up in reality was just fab.
As for the Craft Fair, Alice in Wonderland springs to mind. I've never been to one before, except little ones here in Inverness where it is mainly textiles and yarn, I was completely overwhelmed, but I settled down eventually to spend. I was a bit starstruck too spotting all the crafting celebs, and I even chatted to Joanna Sheen!! I found the particular brands I had planned in my mind to look at and buy, and Chatted to Steve from Little Claire whom I always get on the phone, and he knew who I was.
I had a ball buying, but I did come home with money!!
My lovely hubby had a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my return, me thinks I must go away more often, but it is good to be back too.
Here is what I've bought;
Lavinia stamps I was desperate to see and Cardi-io too and loved the demos. I'm so pleased with my buys and hope to get playing later today.
Thanks for visiting and bearing with this excited little girl, (that's what it felt like) with all these photos.
I hope everyone is well.
See you later

Walking in the Air, and the Birthday Boy!
Hello Blogging Friends, back again and managed to have a bit of a catch up with your blogs. I'm at a loss to think where all my time is going, and it's amazing how a couple of days away from home can knock you out of kilter. I'm busy trying to get washing and general housework done before I go away on Thursday. Thankfully I don't need to cook for Alistair, he is awfully good at foraging for his own tucker, and talking of Alistair, it's his birthday today and although, I made and posted his card away back in February, I thought I would put it here again, as I've loads more followers than then and I thought you might like to see it, I have to say Hubby loved it.
I love this image from Acidrops and Whatnots called Nudie Norman, because Alistair was loosing weight , purposely, and he was doing my head in with all the weighing in, and I just kept saying I loved him just the way he was, so when I saw this stamp I though it was just the thing.
I do have an newly made card too;
It's the lovely Snowman and I've decoupaged him from a Hunkydory kit I bought last year., so no great imagination involved. I was asked to do some children's cards and I don't know anyone who doesn't like the Snowman, old or young.
Thank you all for visiting and leaving your very kind comments, and I'm so pleased you liked the Anniversary card.
I've an evening to myself, as Alistair and his friend will be off to the Astonomical meeting after diner, so I just maybe get a little crafting done.
I'm hoping to run into some of you fab folk at the NEC on Friday, so if you see me, make sure to say hello, I know its an awfully big place, but you never know. I'm making a list of the stalls I want to find and it's getting longer by the day.
I hope everyone is fine and well, and if not, hope it won't be long before you're feeling better.
Keep safe everyone and hope to see you soon,

Anniversary Card!
Hello to You All, Back after my weekend away in Glasgow and we had a lovely time, although Saturday was the foulest day with rain, but it didn't dampen our spirits. We stayed in a lovely wee hotel and had a gorgeous meal in a restaurant called the Butchershop, whose steaks were to die for. Never have I tasted meat like this, all to do with how long the meat is hung I was told. Expensive, but hey ho, it was our anniversary and Alistair's birthday celebration.
Yesterday, took us to the Transport Museum, this is new to me, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and what a great place for families to visit. We were going to visit the new Science Museum, but it was a wee bit of a walk and wouldn't have left much time to get back into the center of the city, so we will do that another time.
I'm afraid I've not managed any commenting, I've had so much to do today, and also making sure I've got things together for going to Birmingham on Thursday, the time is just going too fast, and I'm out tomnight at choral practise, but scooting through my Blogger Dashboard, I am able to see that everyone I follow had posted some gorgeous cards. Hopefully, I will manage to get around to commenting tomorrow.
Thank you everyone for commenting on my last card, I do appreciate each and every one of your comments.
A very warm welcome to Vikki who is my new follower, thank you so much for choosing to follow my blog, I hope you will continue to like what I do.
So here is today's card, as you can see it's for the lovely Alistair,
This is a stamp set from Acidrops and Whatnots, and thought that the caption so very apt for Alistair, who is always, always right!! However, the stamp already said Abigail, and I couldn't change it to Kate.
Coloured with Prismacolour pencils in sepia shades
Tonic Gothic Die set
Gorjuss papers
Pearls and gems from my box
I am pleased to say Alistair loved it, even although I had to explain the Abigail bit.
That's all from me today, I hope you are all well, I am pleased to see that Pops is back creating and blogging, but sending good wishes to those who are not feeling too well just now, and hope it wont be long before you do feel better.

Magical Birthday!
Good Evening to You All, I hope everyone is safe and well especially those of you who have been in the eye of the storm. It completely missed us up here in Inverness, I sometimes think we have our very own little climate.
Thank you all so much for the kind comments made about my last card, I love reading them, and very much appreciate the time you all take in visiting me.
We had a lovely Sunday spent with our friends who have a croft and lots of animals, and it was lovely to see how the lambs that we saw back in May have all grown up, even little Spanner who I fed from a bottle, he was just a wee poor lamb, but he has thrived and is still so friendly. We had lots of laughs and great food, and still got back in time for Downton.
We are off to Glasgow at the weekend for a couple of days as a little celebration for our Wedding Anniversary, eighteen years, who would have thought, it's gone by so quickly, I remember the great day as if it was yesterday, it was the best wedding I'd ever been at, and it's been mostly laughs along the way.
Anyway, enough reminiscing, here is my card for today;
As you can see it's for Kerr, my friend's little Granson, whose birthdday is next week.
LOTV coloured topper edged in Black Soot DI
LOTV Sentiment
Core'dination black Card
Adorable Scorable Purple card embossed with a SB folder,(don't know the name, sorry)
Papers are freebies from Making Cards Magazine, from last year
Xcut Star Dies
Glamour Dust for a bit of sparkle
Now I just have to think of what to buy him, but I hope he likes his card.
That's all from me tonight, I hope you will visit and please leave a comment to let me know that you've been here, and I'll pop in to see you.

Presents Around the Tree!
Hello Crafty Friends, how are you all, well I certainly hope. I've not posted anything since last week, but have managed to keep up with most of what you are all doing. I have been incredibly tired, so not much card making getting done at the moment. It's taking me much longer than I thought it would to settle back into work, just as well I have a long slow phased return.
Thank You to every one who visited and left comments on my last card and my fab yarn, I've almost a sock finished with some of it. I was delighted to notice that some new people had visited too and and a new follower, Elizabeth, welcome to you and I hope you will return and that you continue to like what I do. So thanks again each and everyone, I get really excited when I see new people, I just think it's great that you are so interested in what I make. I love journeying around your blogs too, what a wealth of talent there is, a fabulous source of inspiration, makes this blogging lark so worthwhile.
I've been asked to make some Christmas cards by one of my clients so here is a very traditional one;
I've been trying to use up Christmas collections from the past year, so this is from a Hunkydory collection and I've added,
Sizzix Poinsettias Die, made with Glod Paper
Hobby Craft Gold Lace
Papermania, Gold Domes and Gems
Stickles Glitter
So not much in the way of creativity I'm afraid, as the image is all there for you to just stick on, but it fits the bill and I rather like how it's turned out.
I hope no one will be affected by this awful storm that's been forecast, Scotland will have the tail end of it I gather, so make sure you batten down the hatches.
That's me for now, enjoy your weekend whatever your doing, I know some of you are at the Glasgow craft fair, so I hope you are having a great time and buying lots of goodies, will be my turn in a couple of weeks at Birmingham and I'm really looking forward to that.

Singing Snowmen and New Buys!
Hello to You All, hoping you are having a good weekend with some good weather. I also hope everyone is well.
I have had a lovely few hours at a Wool and Textile Fair here in Inverness, I went along with my Choral Friend Fiona and just drooled at all the gorgeous Tweed material and beautiful yarn. Amazed at knitting needles which were as thick as walking sticks and massive balls of Tweed which knitted up rugs. Fiona, isn't a knitter but would love to be, so I'm going to look out a few simple patterns for her to have a go.
I stood in awe looking at the most exquisite shawls knitted by a lady from the Isle of Eigg, they were made by yarn as fine as embroidery thread, the patterns were stunning and also the colours, one of them cost £700, but what a work of art. She is self taught, and upon asking her how she manages to concentrate to keep count, she replied that it is just her and her dog and he is no trouble. I've been trying to do a simple shawl for ages, now I know where I'm going wrong, ditch the husband and move to Eigg. Only kidding.......!
Anyhow I had a bit of a spend, here is what I bought;
The colours are like jewels, and the texture of the yarns are gorgeous. The blue yarn is from baby alpaca and is the softest ever and I'll use it for the shoulder shrug, all from a company called Alpaca Loft, who have their own herd of Alpacas, an if you buy their kits, there will be a photo of the animal whose fleece it is.
The green toned yarn is for Lewis's socks, Alistair's son. I had started them with a yarn that I didn't like much, but all I had for a guy, but it wasn't a patch on this one and the colour is called Winter Tartan.
All of this yarn is hand dyed from natural sources, like lichens and things, all the colours of nature.
These are two patterns I liked, not all that difficult, I hope. Hope I've not bored you too much with my other passion. Here is my little card for today;
From the Debbie Moore CD Snow Buddeeze, again trying to use my CDs a bit more
Topper, paper , sentiment and bow ties all from the CD
Black Core'dinations Card
Gold Glitter Card
SB Music Embossing Folder
Marianne Treble Cleft Die
Stickles Sparkle
Gems
I hope you like my little effort.
Thank you all so much for the comments on my last card, I do appreciate that you visit me, I know it takes time.
Off now to settle down and watch Montalbano, it's a new series and I just love him.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you soon,

Anyhow I had a bit of a spend, here is what I bought;
These are two patterns I liked, not all that difficult, I hope. Hope I've not bored you too much with my other passion. Here is my little card for today;
