A Birthday Brew!

Hello Everyone, I hope the beginning of a new week finds you well.
Our snow is finally going, even from the mountains, but much safer underfoot and driving.

Thanks to everyone who visited and left such lovely comments on my card for the CCC yesterday, you are very kind and I do appreciate it.

It's my lovely Son's birthday on Wednesday so I was out today to try and find a gift for him, and a Ferrari I can't afford. Coming so soon after Christmas I always have this problem, I have the same problem with Moreen as her birthday is a fortnight later. Anyway, I ended up with a really good bottle of Port, which I know he will appreciate, and it's sort of in-keeping with the card I've made;
I've used one of Stampin Up's new stamp sets, I though it was a great one for a guy and just perfect for Damian. A Tim Holtz wall embossing folder in the background with DI. I've stamped the bottles with different shades of Adirondack ink and gold embossed the labels. The middle one looks like a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale. I have a First Edition paper pad for men and I've used one of the sheets, although it's not showing up all that well, it's high rise buildings.
I'm pretty pleased with my efforts, I hope he will be too.

It's an earlier dinner for us tonight as it's music night for both of us, so off now to peel some spuds, Alistair is away for a walk over the Kessock Bridge, peeling is usually his job. so till next time, keep warm and see you soon,

Hi Kate,
what a very super card for your Son by the Happy Birthday for tomorrow.
Love the bottle of beer and that paper used it's super for the men in our lives.
I know what you mean aboutthese Birthdays it's my DIL on the 24th and then my Son's on the 3rd of Feb so they are nearly within a week of each other.
Still pondering on my Son's one DIL has been sent as they live right out in the country on a farm.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Such a great masculine card Kate. Love the background and the beer bottles. The sentiment is just perfect too. Our snow is almost gone now, just an odd patch left, thank goodness.

This is a wonderful card Kate and the bottles look so realistic and love the sentiment which goes perfectly. The brick embossing and the high rise buildings are great with it. It is always so difficult to find something interesting for a man but this ticks all the boxes. Hope you enjoyed your singing. We have started doing Faure's Requiem and the St. Mark's Passion by Charles Wood but don't have our concert until the end of April so lots of time to learn them. x

Hi Kate
Excellent male card and hopefully Damian had a splendid birthday.
He would only ground a Ferrari in all that snow so I think the port was a good idea lol!!!
