Winter Trees!

Good Afternoon Crafting and Blogging Friends, sorry to have been out of action over the last few day, but I've really not had any energy and I fear that this nasty bug is back again, not that I'd got rid of it, but I'm coughing worse and getting tired so easily.  I still have a few days till I am due back at work, but if the coughing keeps up I just might have to go the the doctor.  There is just one place you can't be when feeling awful and that is my particular kind of work which is draining at the best of times.

Anyway, enough of me, what about you, I hope you are feeling well and enjoying your weekend, getting up to something exciting or just quietly relaxing. I've been doing a lot of reading, it's the most relaxing thing for me at the moment and I've finished Wolf Hall and Bring up the Bodies, Hilary Mantel's fabulous novels that are dramatised on TV at the moment.  Love them and feel quite sad that they've come to an end.

I'm being serenaded by the fiddle just now, thankfully the stamping isn't too bad.  Alistair and his friend went along to Eden Court Theatre last night to the Fiddler's Rally and really enjoyed it. First time for Alistair although he has played the fiddle since Moses left Partick.   He has obviously memorised some new tunes as I'm hearing tunes I've not heard before.

Sorry, I've not been around to comment on your creations, but I have scrolled through Blogger Dashboard and was able to see some wonderful work, I will try to get around and comment, but forgive if I don't manage you all.  Thank you all so much on your comments on my last card, I always do appreciate the time you give my wee blog.
I have a card today, it's taken me days to do, just wee bits at a time;
Using Winter Trees from CB and colours from the new Challenge 8;
Coloured with Watercolour Pencils, SB embossing Folder, blue and silver mirri card, Blue and lavender card and a Tattered Lace die for Sentiment. Pearls from my box.

That's me for now,  take care  and hope to see you soon.

I would like to enter this card into;

Beautiful card Kate. Well done - quite an achievement when you are feeling so unwell. I did not watch the Wolf Hall programmes but from the little I have read of them you might like a series of books by C J Sansom and they are The Shardlake Series. There are six books and I am presently on No. 5. They are murder mysteries set in the reign of Henry VIII. I am really enjoying them. Hope you feel better soon.

First, Kate, take care of yourself, blogging is for fun, and it will wait for you to feel better. It's a nasty bug this year and hangs on especially the cough for so long. Draining to say the least.
I saw your card on facebook, and loved it. What a beautiful scene you created, such a beautiful card.

Hugs
Sue

Hi there!
Like the commenter before me...blogging is what we do for fun. I understand the time thing and it seems I can't get enough of my knitting. I stop one project and pick up the next. I've been doing some reading too and there is only so much time in the day. LOL!!!

Hi Kate
You poor soul. I thought you'd be on the mend by now.
You need a rub down with an oily rag!
You've come up with a terrific card considering you're not well.
Keep warm and hydrated and rest.
Take care.

I hope you are feeling somewhat better today Kate, that bug has caused so many people to be poorly recently. Thankfully I had it before Christmas so hopefully I am immune :/
I haven't been around much either but for a different reason, shouldn't complain but my order book is overflowing and I have a stall on Friday this week so I have been frantically trying to get ahead of myself.
I saw your lovely card on FB the other day, you have done a great job despite feeling ill. I love the layers and that stamp looks beautiful.
Well take care now,
Lorraine

How did I miss this pretty Winter Trees card? Love the bare trees on this winter landscape, and the pretty mats of color. The bit of lace border looks like fallen snow too. Love the way you've used the challenge colors of this brilliant sunset to set the color scheme for your lovely card. TFS & Hugs
