Good Morning Everyone and hoping your day is getting off to a good start. Mine got off to a very early start as Teallach decided to have a play at 4:30 this morning, running around like a mad thing, jingling his toys which have bells, scratching the carpet. Alistair was very tired and so that he wouldn't be too disturbed I decided to get up and have a play with him, the cat I mean not Alistair lol!
So I will be quite tired later on I guess.
We had a lovely day yesterday despite the weather, really dark day and rain, I got to John Lewis to buy my lovely Liz Earle skin care bits and pieces and tried to do little bits and pieces of Christmas shopping. Didn't get very far with that though, kept saying, not paying that for that, everything is so expensive, but there again maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind yet.
I'm here with my Friday Oldie;
I think this is a lovely image, LOTV of course coloured with Promarkers and I think the paper is from the Tulip range from Papermainia.. The little silk rosebuds I found in a local charity shop.
I'm off into the town later, Alistair's birthday is next week and I've still not got his prezzie so I'd better get that organised, and this evening Damian and Moreen have invited us out for an Indian meal at a new place just along the road from us, so looking forward to that. I've still to make DH birthday card, I really am not together this year.
Thank you all for your kind comments on Kerr's card, very much appreciated.
Keep well everyone and sending kind thoughts for good health for those that need them and see you soon,
Good Afternoon Crafty Friends and Visitors of course. I hope you are all well, but sending kind thoughts and hugs to those who are not so good.
It's been a lovely day here, frosty first thing in the morning and clear and crisp this afternoon, the air feels nice and fresh. Alistair is away down to the Cairngorms for a walk, so I took the opportunity to get some crafting done, I'm a bit behind with cards that are needed soon.
I've been spending so much time trying to fix problems with the PC, some strange things happening to it, adverts kept popping up, even although I have a blocker on, then my home paged changed to something I've never heard of. It just all takes time to suss out where to go into to fix it, but I've managed something. I really need to go on a course for when things go wrong.
Anyway here is my card for today;
The image is a precoloured one from TPS and I know Kerr loves playing these sorts of games.
Red Bazzil card
LC Sentiments
Twine and buttons from my stash.
I can hardly believe Kerr is 11 next week, he is growing up so fast, he is my friend Dale's Grandson, and he is a terrific little guy. I think he will like it.
Thank you all so much for the very kind comments on the fab cards/calenders made by my little group, they will be chuffed to bits when I tell them.
I'm off to Glasgow with Alistair tomorrow, and early start for the bus. I think he wants to go some exhibition at the Art Galleries, me... well John Lewis of course. It's a long day, but if the weather is good it will be fine.
Enjoy the rest of your day,
Hello from a very wild and wet Inverness, and it's only 5pm and it's already dark. Are you all having a good weekend, I hope so regardless of the weather.
I had my little craft group at work yesterday and we were making calender/cards. Only two of my clients turned up, it's often difficult for them to commit to anything, but the two who came really enjoyed the session and made some lovely projects. I got there permission to show them and one of the crafters;
The ladies made beautiful calender/cards and the is Inesa who made the candy cane one and the reindeer one at the right front. I was really amazed by their designs as I had made up the packs with paper and embellishments and had a design in my head as to how the bits and pieces would be laid out, but neither Inesa or Diana made anything like I had in mind. Each one I think is brilliant.
So it was a very successful couple of hours which we all enjoyed.
I'm now on holiday for a couple of weeks and I was supposed to be pet minding whilst Damian and Moreen went off to Italy for a wee holiday, but they've cancelled it as Molly the dog is not too well. Poor Molly is an old girl now and Moreen was really worried that Molly might pass away whilst they were away, and didn't want me to be left to see to things. I think they have made the right decision as Moreen wouldn't have a good holiday for worrying. We all get so attached to our pets. I hope they will be able to get away at a later date.
I'm hoping to get a bit of serious cleaning done whilst off and hopefully some crafting, and then of course there's the Birmingham adventure, lots of nice things.
Thank you for commenting on my last card, I've yet to get around to visiting your blogs, I missed yesterday, fraid I dozed off after tea time and remained almost comatose for the rest of the evening, I was so tired. This wee cat is up playing and wanting company around 5am, he'll have to get told it's still sleepy time.
Off now to pour a wee G&T to keep me going whilst I prepare the veggies for dinner. I hope that you are well, and enjoying your weekend.
See you soon,
Hello Everyone, and how are you all today? For those who are not so well here is a Great Big Hug, that you will feel better soon.
I was back at work today after 6 days off and felt that I was all over the place, just couldn't settle back in, and to make matters worse I was cooking. It is fab having the time off, but you are really out of the loop, however I'm sure tomorrow will go better.
I'm here tonight with my "Oldie for Friday"
Well I'm sure you will all recognise this beauty from LOTV and coloured with Promarkers.
I'm afraid I can't remember where the other bits and pieces are from. This is one of my really early cards.
I was working late tonight so I'm away now to put my feet up and chill out.
Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my last card,
See you soon,
Hello from a very wet and windy Inverness, oh it's been a miserable October day here, pleased I didn't have to be on a boat today.
Are you all doing well? I hope so, but just in case there are some of you who are not, especially loved one, sending out kind and positive thoughts that you will be well soon.
Thank you all for the lovely comments on my card for the CCC, it was a great challenge and what gorgeous cards were created, so thanks for that Rita.
I had a lovely meet up with Hazel, Baskets of Joy, yesterday, lots of chats and laughs. Time goes so quickly though and Hazel had to leave again for her bus home, but it won't be long until we go to the NEC craft fair in Birmingham with Hazel's sister Patricia of Summerhouse Crafts, and then the icing on the cake is meeting up with Mrs. Duck, Ang and Christine of Christine's Cards and Crafts, we all met up last year and had a meal and a great hoolie. It would be fantastic if more of our crafting blog friends could join us too.
Up date on Teallach, he is such a fabulous cat, and we enjoy having him more each day, he is settling in well and curious about everything. He still isn't outside yet although he has been sitting on the doorstep and sniffing the air, he will go when he is ready though.
I am having a craft group at work on Saturday and I was trying to think what to make, when I noticed whilst in our local Hobby Crafts store a lovely little card/calender make on display. It had been made by one of the store assistants, here is my take on it;
It's an easel card and the calender folds down too.
Papermania Papers, Ribbon and gems
SB Snowflake Dies
MB Frosty corner die
Calender from the Works
Glamour Dust in Crystal
I'll use mine as a sample and prep the ingredients for my crafty group.
Well I've just noticed there is footy on, that's a bummer, I think I'll go and do some colouring.
I'll say cheerio for now and see you soon, enjoy your evening,
Well Hello at last Folks, finally here. I'm later than usual posting my card, I usually schedule it for this morning having set it up on Saturday nights. Most of yesterday my broadband was down, seemingly there was extensive maintenance going on, and wasn't up and running till last night, just such a pest. Haven't managed around your blogs yet either. Then to cap it all, I seem to have lost my camera, can't think where it could be, and I'm really annoyed about it as there are loads of photos of all sorts of things on it. It must be somewhere here...but.......
Anyway thanking you all for the lovely comments on my last card, your all as usual very kind and it gives me lots of encouragement.
So I'm here today with my card for the friendly Christmas Card Club and this time the theme was chosen by Rita and it's Reindeers,
I've used my Tablet to take the photo, and I'm not familiar with the camera side of it, and the fact that it's all silver didn't help.
The base card and the Topper is from Hunkydory, from their Christmas Elegance range which I've had for a couple of years.
Silver Twine and Charms from the Ribbon Girl
Grey and Black flowers from my box sprayed with Crafter's Companion Silver Spray
MB leaves cut in silver
Gems from my box
It's not a great photo, I hope you can see it OK.
I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday, and that you are well, sending out kind thoughts to those who are so tip top.
Good morning to everyone, gosh imagine Friday already, this week has flown by. I have days off now till next Wednesday, wonderful, but even more wonderful is that Hazel Baskets of Joy is coming up for a visit and I am looking forward so much to having out meet up. We will spend the afternoon eating and chatting, and making plans for out trip to Birmingham in November, which isn't that long away.
Our little Teallach is settling in well now and he is just a delight, he comes alive at night though, we hear him racing around the house a a great speed chasing his jingling toys. I am learning what his various miaows mean. I've trying to introduce him to outside, and he has got as far as the doorstep and then ran back into the house. It just takes time, but he is interested as he looks out of the window.
I've got an "Oldie" today, this was my first card made for my friend Dale's birthday, which she has framed, isn't that just lovely. She adores poppies and has all sorts of home accessories with poppy themes.
I've used a wonderful stamp from Sheila Douglass, and coloured with Promarkers, I really can't remember what else was used.
I was wondering what was wrong with the photo, I've not edited it, oh well it's not too bad.
Erika from Snappycrafts, started this Friday Oldie, just looking at something you made a while ago, maybe when you began crafting as it's good to look back and see how much your crafting has progressed, or not, anyway it's great fun, why don't you join in, it doesn't have to be a card, I've occasionally posted some knitting and sewing.
See you all soon, and thank you all for your lovely comments on my last card.
Keep well and sending out kind thoughts to those who are not so well for a speedy recovery.
