Ivy!

Hi there Everyone, it's the weekend once again, where did the last one gooooo!! I still find it difficult to believe that time doesn't drag with the lockdown, must be finding plenty to do.

Anyways, I hope your weekend is going well so far and that you are all doing well.

I had a phone call from my surgery on Thursday to invite me for my covid vaccination on Monday, I was so surprised that it would be so soon for me. As you know I have diabetes so I'm not in the extremely vulnerable, but the vulnerable group and should have been getting the jab in the 4th trench. I'm delighted though, and I've been told that the 2nd dose will be in mid April, I'm not complaining. However, neither Alistair nor I will be doing anything different, we'll still be behaving ourselves.

So, I have a finished page from my colouring planner here;

This is Ivy from Johanna Basford's Ivy and the Inky Butterfly. The planner's pages are all from different books by Johanna. I'm not getting very far with the colouring, I'm still doing January's pages.

Anyhoo, I've used Prismacolour pencils, gel pens and some Star Dust  Stickles to add some sparkle. It did take a while to colour up, it's quite detailed as you can see. Note to self ....

colour something simple next lol.

That's me for now, take care of yourselves and stay safe,

Ah this is lovely, what a pretty page. Lovely colours you have gone for. My Folks had their first jab yesterday with no ill effects. Dad was called for his and they asked if anyone else in the house was over 70 and Mum just is so they said for her to go get it too. Pouring rain here but no snow, Stay Safe, Hazelxx

Great news about your vaccine Kate and lets all hope that this will be the beginning of better times where we can all get to spend time with our loved ones again. Yes, where do the weeks go? I can't believe the we're almost in the second week of February but as you say, we must be finding things to keep us busy. Your colouring page is beautiful and I bet you found it really relaxing to do. Take care my crafty friend and stay safe x

Great news about your vaccination, we haven't had ours yet, although I thought David would have been in the vulnerable group, because of his only having one lung. Apparently not. This is gorgeous your colouring is gorgeous. Marlene

How beautifully coloured Kate and the little hints of gold really shine through.

So pleased you are getting your jab, it's strange that although having mine changed nothing as far as what we can and can't do, it did feel like a positive move in the right direction.

Like so many of us I sooooo miss seeing the children and grandchildren, it was Christmas 2019 when we last saw some of them.

You have such patience Kate, to colour something this large and intricate, beautifully done too, with lovely colourways.
I had mine last Wednesday. I agree with behaving ourselves, we are doing the same thing. Not worth taking a chance we feel.
Keep safe

Hi Kate, I'm sorry but I was so sure I had commented on this post. I think sometimes unthinkingly I press close instead of publish and go on my merry way. Very pretty colouring page and beautifully coloured as usual. I was thinking of you this morning when I was having my first Covid vaccination. I was a bit horrified to see so much snow when I got up because I had a 40 mile round trip to one of the hubs. Whenever we want to go anywhere we have to go down hill in all directions, so a bit hairy I must admit. All very efficient, as John's was in a local GP surgery, but mine was given by soldiers. The snow stopped after lunch but ti is windy and bitterly cold so we'll see what tomorrow brings but at least I don't have to be anywhere but tucked up by the fire. Hope you have no side effects. Take care. Hugs Christine xx

It's a beautiful page and you have colored it up to perfection! She is lovely and so are the flowers particularly the way you colored them so briliantly.

My hubby got the vaccine and is scheduled for the second one on Valentines Day. He is a Vietnam Veteran and the VA Hospital called and asked if he wanted to get the shot. Because he was boots on the ground in Vietnam they were calling them. Grateful as he has Asthma. Now for me to keep trying to make an appointment.....
