Margarette!

 Hi Folks, how are you all doing , are you enjoying the weekend in this glorious sunshine? It just lifts the spirits to waken up to sunshine. It is though going to be too hot for me to sit outside, but I managed a wee walk this morning.

We took ourselves to Nairn yesterday for a walk along the beach, it was just lovely  and loads of space to move, mind you the tide was very far out, never seen it so far infact. and it had left some large pools which made for the children to paddle about safely. I quick trip into Sainsbury for odds and end then home, just a couple of hours but it was just great to have a change of scenery and some sea air.

I have another coloured page today;

This lovely Steampunk lady is from Colouring Heaven magazine and I've mainly used Black Widow pencils, but Prismacolour on the hair, Luminance pencils.  This is a first for such a large portrait picture, so it was a bit daunting,  no doubt I need more practise with skin and hair, nevertheless, I'm pretty pleased with it. Here is the colouring magazine the picture is from, there are loads of lovely pages to colour.

Thank you for the lovely comments on my last post, you are so kind and I do appreciate them.

We've been having a wee visitor to the house over the last week. Meg is a little cat who lives next door and she's in and about here every time the door's open, Teallach is not too sure about it all mind you. Meg has now found his toy box and she makes a bee line for it and loves the catnip mouse that's in it. Teallach doesn't bother with catnip so it's at the bottom of the box, well Meg fired everything out till she found it.

She's a sweet wee thing and very curious, Teallach wandered over to see what she was up to, she hissed at him and he ran out the door, she is just shameless. Keeps us entertained.

Anyhoo, that's me for now, enjoy your Sunday, keep safe,

Beautiful picture. What a cute visitor. You are lucky being able to visit the beach. We are overrun with holidaymakers so avoiding it.

The sun is welcome isn't Kate, even if a tad warm but dare not complain. The Steampunk lady has a really lovely face and beautifully coloured.

Golly, I dont know when I was in Nairn last, wouldnt like to think about it either!! Prob about 30 odd years back!!! Love your colouring its super, what a great image and such a bit one to do as well. Ahh your poor kitty getting told to go away from his own toys!!! We wouldn't get another cat in our house as Belle would chase them off. She loves our Harry but not keen on other kitties. Ive just grown some catmint so hoping for a happy Harry soon with it dried out!! Hazel xx

I love your page of colouring. The image is fab. Hair and skin are spot on. That's how fluff ended up with extra cats that came, sniffed around and decided to stay.!! They are up to 3.5 cats . The latest one hadn't quite managed yo get all four paws over the freehold.. Been a lovely day today and didn't it out in the garden following the shade around. Hugs Mrs A.

The first thing that caught my eye was the hat, specifically the shiny part because you d8d that so well. It is hard to do and the shading is spot on. I love the fairy and think you got her colouring down pat. I should get back to my colouring book. The paddy cat is a sweetie

This is a fabulous colouring page Kate, you have coloured her beautifully.
Poor Teallach being terrorised in his own home.
It is so hot down here - much too hot for me, 35+ yesterday so I just sat in front of a fan reading!

Love the image Kate and your colouring is fabulous

We used to bring catnip back from Canada for our two cats and they both would go crazy with it, so entertaining. English catnip didn't hit the spot!
